Chapter One

"I look forward to seeing you tomorrow" said Sadie.

"I can't wait either, I can barley hold it in." blurted Mason

"Well, I better go it's getting dark and I don't want my dad to get mad at me." Sadie started.

"Oh, okay well.....I'll see you tomorrow, picnic by the lake, midnight." Mason said

"Can we make it a little bit earlier, I don't want to be out when it's dark, I get...scared" Sadie rushed for an excuse.

"Sure, let's make it 9" Mason said.

"Thannks, that'll be fine." Sadie said relived.

"So, bye then." Sadie said awkwardly.

"Yeah, bye." Mason said as he stared walking.

He waved and Sadie wondered if this summer love would last. She wanted to tell him, she just didn't know how. "Idiot" she muttered to herself, as she headed for home.

"Dad, i'm home." Sadie yelled as she burst through the door. "Not that anybody cares." she muttered to herself.

"Hi sweetie, glad your back. I was starting to get worried, you know what happens when the moon comes up, don't you?" her dad said as he kissed her on the forehead.

"Yes dad i know what happens, i practically grew up with this." Sadie said not wanting to go over this every night.

"That's why i changed the time for Mason and I's date tomorrow night. 9 instead of midnight." Sadie said, excited.

"That's great sweetie, now come eat dinner, before it gets too dark." her dad said showing her the table.

"I'm not really hungry tonight, i'm just gonna go to bed alright?" Sadie asked, holding her breath.

"Okay, i'll save some dinner just in case you get hungry." her dad said.

"Thanks, dad, your the best. Goodnight" Sadie said relived she could breath.

"Goodnight sweetheart." her dad said sitting down to eat his dinner.
