Chapter 2; Explainations & imprinting

Briar's POV
The next morning Leah, Seth's older sister, came and picked us up. She told Charlie and Tanya (who was there taking care of Charlie's hangover) that we were being kidnapped for a girl's day at Emily Young's house. Charlie agreed and said to call him when I was on my way home or if I was spending the night.

The best part about Uncle Charlie is how accepting and trusting he is, and if you break his trust, we'll he does collect shotguns.

Angela and I were nervous because we knew the real reason that we were going to La Push was not for a girls day. It was because of what we saw last night at the wedding. Wolves the size of horses, and the eyes of a human that seemed to understand us. I wasn't stupid. I may have been raised to believe that things like that are not possible that they're just fairytales, just scary stories that you tell kids to make them behave.

"How you doing back there?" Leah spoke up as she looked at me through the rear view mirror. Angela was in the passenger seat while I sat behind her in the back. Angela sat up and turned to look at me "I'm fine" I said in a breathy whisper. Lies. Angela reach backwards and took my hand and whispered "It's going to be okay" I nodded while squeezing her hand.

Angela turned back and faced forward. Leah gave me one last look before looking back at the road and turning into a driveway with three other cars "We're here. Let's get this over with" we got out and walked straight into the house. Into the werewolf den.

When we entered we realized that the house was small and cozy. Very homey. There was a bunch of new people. The only ones I knew were Seth, Sam, Rachel Black, Jacob, and Leah. Before I could stop myself I walked straight into Seth's arms feeling comfort in them. I wasn't really a hugger, but I needed this.

Seth began babbling sounding regretful "I'm so sorry! I wanted to wait until we got to know each other better, and I know you're going through a lot right now and I'm sorry to just dump this on you-" "You're a werewolf" I cut him off. He sniffled "Yes" his voice was a whisper. I slowly pulled back, but sense he refused to let go I just turned around to face  everyone.

I noticed that Angela staring at one of the boys with a blush on her face, and he was staring back with a dazed smile on his face. I turned to Sam and said "Okay, so am I correct in assuming that you're the ring leader in this?" He nodded and stepped forward "Let me introduce everyone I'm Sam and this is my wife and imprint Emily" "Hi, it's so nice to meet you both" a woman with scars on her face said with a smile.

I stared at her for a moment. Sam and Emily looked uncomfortable for a moment but then I smiled and said "Your eyes look like Seth and Leah's are you guy's related?" Emily smiled and said "Yes, we're cousins" "Cool, who's the guy making goo goo eyes at my new bestie" everyone chuckled "That's Embry"

Sam answered then introduced everyone else, and we introduced ourselves explained everything to us.

I frowned "Okay so rule number one you don't talk about Wolfpack club, rule number two stay away from creepy eyed Cullens because they're vampires, anything else?" Angela frowned too "This is a big secret, why tell us?" "Because you're a part of the pack now. Angela is Embry's imprint, and Briar is Seth's" we both looked at him confused they we said at the same time "What's an imprint?"

"It's not like love at first sight, really. It's more like... gravity moves... suddenly. It's not the earth holding you here anymore, she does... You become whatever she needs you to be, whether that's a protector, or a lover, or a friend. Imprints are our way of finding our soulmates" Sam explained. I didn't know how to feel about that. Did I find Seth attractive? Yes. Did I feel safe and contentment with him? Yes. Did I wanna date or marry him in the future? Possibly??

Angela began to panic "I'm not ready to date yet let alone meet my soulmate! I just got out of a relationship!" "Angie..." I began "Angela, if you reject the imprint both you and Embry will die" Sam said solemnly "Sam!" I scolded. Then Angela fainted. "Nice Uley, she wasn't rejecting Embry, she was panicking and needed to be reassured preferably by Embry. Now don't you have 'patrol' by now? Get out"
I then got out of Seth's arms and walked over to assist Angela.

"You can't kick me out of my own house" Sam rolled his eyes "No, but I can" Emily said then began shooting him out. Embry was hovering me and Angela worriedly. "Could you put her on the couch?" I asked him. He nodded rapidly and did as told, he seemed happy with her in his arms and was reluctant to let her go but he did, thankfully.

"When she wakes up. Tell her you only want to be a part of her life, and that you'll take it slow, and you want to be friends alright?" He nodded again. "You really think that she won't reject me?" I shook my head "She likes you she's just afraid to admit it because of her past relationship with Eric. Give her time and let her come you. I promise you won't regret it" he looked up at me and smiled.

I returned the smile then went and sat on Seth's lap and stole a muffin from his plate. Paul and Jared went with Sam to patrol and Jacob was moping about Bella. This is something I could get used to.
