Chapter 3; Bella returns

Briar POV
It's been about a week since Angela and I discovered the existence of werewolves and vampires. I managed to convince Charlie into letting me go to school on the Rez after summer is over. Angela worked part time at the cafe with Emily, Leah, and Sue while attending college for her nursing degree. Embry and Angela have gotten closer and would most likely start dating by the end of the month.

Seth and I however were just friends. We didn't feel comfortable dating yet, so we stuck with very affectionate friends. We did everything together, but it felt like something was missing for both of us, so we waited to see what it was before we did anything beyond holding hands, hugging, and cuddling. We worked well together, but when it came to romantic stuff we short-circuited if that makes sense.

Charlie seems to have gotten himself a 'not girlfriend'. Tanya moved in with the Cullens, and visits daily to cook for us, and help around the house. They're both clearly falling for each other, but neither will make a move. Tanya most likely because she's a vampire and is afraid of rejection, and Charlie because Renee seriously fucked him up.

Speaking of Renee I got an angry phone call from Bella concerning her. Bella heard about our altercation at her wedding and tried to get Charlie to kick me out claiming that I was a violent thug. Charlie explained that Renee attacked me as I was trying to leave, and even suggested that I should report the assault so he could arrest Renee.

That shut Bella up. I still can't believe that she not only married a vampire but plans to become one. Everything about them feels wrong. When I look at them they just don't fit, they're too stiff together unlike Esme and Carlisle, and Rosalie and Emmett, and Alice and Jasper. The imprints looked natural too! But Edward and Bella it just feels....wrong.

Jacob said that Edward was drawn to Bella because of her blood which is creepy and gross, but also strange. When a vampire meets their mate their bloodlust calms down and they become happy and content. At least that's what my 'summer project' research says. Seth, Embry, Angela, Jacob, and I were currently in the living room of Charlie's house talking and hanging out. We were brainstorming ideas on how to get Jake's mind off Bella when the phone rang.

Billy, Sue, Harry, Tanya, and Charlie were all in the dining room discussing the next bonfire. It'd been decided that Charlie would be let in on the wolves secrets since now two of his wards were now intimately involved with the supernatural. Plus this bonfire should make things easier for Tanya to confess to Charlie.

Charlie answered the phone, and after a few minutes started panicking. It was Dr. Cullen Bella was back early because she was 'sick'. Everyone, but Charlie exchanged looks. Wordlessly I grabbed Tanya and Seth and led them to Tanya's car Jacob was hot on our heels. Angela and Embry snuck off to the forest to go to Emily's house and inform Sam of what happened.

Tanya drove us to the Cullen house. Me in the front seat and Jacob and Seth in the back. When we got there Jacob was the first one out and he bolted to the door. Seth and I got out and jogged to catch up. Tanya nervously followed behind. Carlisle answered the door, and ushered us in, or more specifically dragged me straight towards Bella.

Apparently Alice had a vision of me helping Bella, which was the first and only vision she had because Bella's future became compromised. "Okay, what compromised it?" Jacob asked. Bella suddenly stood up to reveal her very pregnant belly we all stood there in shock "You did this?!" Jacob accused. Edward quickly dragged him out to prevent any stress on Bella.

I snapped out of my stupider and turned to Seth "We need to tell Sam what's going on. We should also ask the elders if they've ever heard of this" Seth nodded in agreement. He suddenly reached out with his hand and squeezed it "Be safe" "I'm safe with Tanya, you go and stay safe" he smiled at me and kissed the top of my head. I surprised kissed his cheek. Seth then took off while Tanya gave me a knowing proud smile.

I blushed then turned to Carlisle "Alright vampire daddy," I started trying to keep a humorous positive attitude "You. Me. Kitchen. Now" I ordered. He nodded and went to follow me into the kitchen, but I turned around and said "and the clothes remain on this time" Carlisle looked at me surprised, but smirked and nodded "Of course Briar".

Emmett let out a booming laugh. Rosalie, Esme, and Tanya shook their heads in amusement. Alice looked confused, and Bella had a disgusted glare on her face. Whatever. We entered the kitchen, and I turned to Carlisle.
