-Elsie's P.O.V-

"Elsie, please get up and ready!" my mother, who was also my manager, barged into my room while I groaned, digging the pillow closer into my face, covering my ears to block her out.

I didn't want to get up. Not this early in the day while I just had the biggest hangover ever. I know that every time that I get as drunk as last night implies having a bit of a hangover.

But I don't learn from my past headaches the morning after a black-out party I get.

Mom ripped the covers off my body and onto the floor leaving me to cover myself with my arms from the cold.

Thank God I wore underwear and clothes underneath. I only had this shirt. I'm pretty sure that it was dirty. I was so drunk I didn't check the right stack of clothes.

"Elsie!" she touches my face continuously and it becomes irritating and I sit up angry.

"Mom, that's annoying!" I say with a pout while she gives me a fake smile. "Then wake the hell up." she growls and starts picking up the mess my room has always been in.

I never had time to fix my bedroom. And most of the time I wasn't here much. I usually stayed at the hotels I sang in or close to the places I sang for.

But rarely came home. Last night I did and now I am regretting it.

"It's," I check the time, my eyes go wide. "Six in the morning!"

Mom shakes her head while mumbling incoherence stuffing the bag of chips I'm sure I ate last night in the trash. "Yes and we're already half an hour late." my head was pounding. How much did I drink last night? Why was I drinking too much anyway?

"Late for what?" I don't recall having anything today.

My mother, whom I share the same here and eyes stop, looks at me with a cold glare. "Your Crowns photoshoot!"

Oh, that photoshoot. I tried getting up only for my head to spin and fall back on my butt letting out a wince.

Mom comes over to me and hands me the Advil with ice-cold water. "Drink this. Get a shower because you stink to alcohol then get dressed," she orders. Not arguing, I did everything she said until I reached the warm water. "Use the cold water! It'll wake you up."

I'd hate to say I did stick to the hot temperature one, but she was right. I needed a jolt of wake to get out of this hangover.

My entire body shivered aggressively at the cold run of water and I gasped. This is going to be a short shower for sure.

°°°

This is what my life consisted of when I knew that it'd be in front of cameras. My mother passed me the small mirror with the white powder on top. "I'm awake mom."

She shakes her head. "You still look how you feel. Get it in and wake up." I sigh and take it in my hands.

Cocaine wasn't always a source of getting over my hangover, but it was discovered by my mom that it worked to put some energy in me.

It's not often this happens, thank God that I don't get this drunk every night. On the times it has, she knows that this was the solution to make a good impression and not look like I was run over by a truck.

I place the rolled dollar in my nose and lean down to inhale a line of white powder.

Closing my eyes tightly I feel it burn my nostrils and then it was like a pump of adrenaline coursing through me.

It's incredible how this can make you feel so energized. I don't let it get to me so much though, I didn't want to become someone addicted.

My pupil's delight, I leaned back after taking the next two lines. Biting my lower lip I see that we've arrived at the big building. Mom nods at me and kisses my head before stepping out and me following.
