Trent's POV

I made my way to the same physio room (Y/N) and I had been sat in earlier, slamming the door shut behind me. There was a chair in the corner of the room, which I kicked over to try and let off some steam, but it didn't work so I gave the wall a hard punch. The pain in my knuckles satisfied me as I fell back against the wall, letting it guide me to the floor. I straightened my legs out in front of me, running my hands over my face. I lifted up my shaking right hand to take a look at my knuckles, which were turning red and starting to bleed. There was a gentle knock on the door, but I ignored it not wanting to see anyone.

"Trent?" Except maybe her. We were in the same boat in a way. Except she was terrified to be here, and I simply didn't want to.

"What?" It came out harsher than I expected. "Sorry." I quickly apologised.

"Don't be. Can I come in? I need to talk to you." How could I say no? She's probably struggling right now too.

"Of course." I agreed. (Y/N) gently pushed the door open, closing it behind her and then joining me on the floor.

"Are you okay?" She asked me.

"How the fuck am I meant to explain to my mum and brothers that I won't be spending Christmas with them?"

"I'm sorry Trent." She said softly.

"Don't say sorry. It isn't your fault. This is probably harder for you than for me."

"You've really helped me though. You were right – the snow will have to melt eventually. Now listen. I know the idea of not seeing your family on Christmas Day isn't easy to comprehend. But you're surrounded by one of your families; your Liverpool family. At least you're not all alone. And maybe tomorrow, everyone can do one big video call to their families and spend Christmas all together. Even if it is virtually." (Y/N) suggested. I hadn't even thought of that.

"That would probably be pretty fun." I smiled. "Plus, they'll all be there for the Boxing Day game." (A/N: This aged well 😃)

"Exactly!" (Y/N) exclaimed.

"Will you be there for the Boxing Day game?" I asked her.

"No, I've never been to a game. As much as I'd like to go to one." She replied.

"Consider it done." I said.

"What?"

"I'll sort you a ticket for the Boxing Day game." I told (Y/N).

"Really?" She asked in excitement.

"It's the least I can do to thank you for cheering me up." I shrugged.

"Thank you!" (Y/N) cried, wrapping me in a hug which really took me by surprise. She's an amazing hugger though.

"Now, the others are wondering where you got to. They were worried about you after you left." (Y/N) told me.

"Are they all still in the gymnasium?" I asked.

"Yeah. I think they're discussing where everyone's gonna sleep tonight." (Y/N) said.

"Let's go then – we have to make sure we get somewhere comfy." Me and (Y/N) got up off the floor and headed back towards the gym. As soon as we entered, Hendo made his way over to us.

"Are you alright mate? You seemed pretty upset before." Hendo questioned.

"I'm fine now. The thought of not seeing my family for Christmas is just...y'know..."
