➊ Where it all started ➊

I was drawing in the dirt. Making a dog. I always wanted a dog. But mama and papa always said when I'm older maybe, I'm only four, my sister Yelena's four years older than me at the age eight and my oldest sister Natasha is eleven. Maybe when I'm Natasha's age mama and papa will let me get a dog.

I suddenly hear a whistle a stop drawing in the dirt. It's Natasha's whistle to me and Yelena. Yelena whistles back and I try to but I can't do it.

I see them by the play set and run over to them. They both go backwards into a backbend. I go on the ground first and then pop up into a backbend.

"Where all upside down" I say and they laugh.

"And I bet you're gonna fall down first" Natasha says.

"No" I say arguing back. "Yelena will fall down before I will" I say that even though my arms are starting to get wobbly and I know I'm going to crash down at any minute.

"I will not fall down first and your going to fall over soon anyways" Yelena says arguing back. Us all still laughing though. Natasha makes a face and me and Yelena both fall over, laughing during the process.

"Told you you'd fall down first" Natasha says and gets up and runs. Me and Yelena chase after her. "I told you! I told you!" She counting to yell as me and Yelena chase her. Suddenly I trip over Yelena's foot and fall face forward. I start to cry.

"Mommy" I yell. Yelena and Natasha turn back and run to me. They both come and hug either side of me. Mommy walks out of the house and over to us. She sits down in front of me.

"What happened?" She asks. I don't say anything back. I just get out of my sisters embraces and go closer to my mom. Showing her my knee.

"She feel and hurt her knee" Yelena says answering my moms question.

"Oh you bumped your knee" she says.

"Mmm hum" I say back.

"Oh" she says and kisses it. "Kiss is better. Three we go" she says as she shushes me. Pushing my hair out of my face. Natasha walks away but Yelena stay by my side. "Oh come on little one. Get up your okay." She says and she stand us helping me get up. "Your a brave girl" she says as we walk over to Natasha on the swings "Your pain only makes you stronger" she says and then looks to Natasha who is swing in the swings. "Right you?" She asks Natasha's.

"Yep" Natasha answers and she continues to swing.

"Hey Vera I know how to make you feel better look at the forest stars" she says and grabs my hand. I look at them.

"Wow there pretty" I say

"You know those are actually part of the Lampyrodae family." My mom says and Natasha gets off of the sown and comes and stand with us. Looking at the beautiful forest stars. "And the glow, the glow that you see, that comes from a chemical reaction called bioluminescence" my mom says in her soothing voice and puts her arms around me and Natasha. We all smile at the forest stars. "Come on time for dinner mom says. And she grabs me and Yelena's hands and walks towards the house.

"Bio-goomin-feasants?" Yelena asks mom as we walk in the house.

""Bio-goomin-feasants?" That's right." Mom answers back she then yells dinner and Natasha comes following after us.

"I want max and cheese" My sister Yelena says as we walk in the house

"Oh you want mac and cheese. Okay. Well I want.... Caviar and champagne." Mom says back to my sister. Vera grab the napkins. Yelen take this" she says hanging my sister a bowl with some of our dinner in it to take to the table. "Natasha would you grab the ranch dressing for dad" mom adds on before the tree of us walk into the dinning room.

I put the napkins at everyone's spot as Yelena pots the pot in the middle of the table.

"Green beans are my favorite vegetable" Yelena says out loud.

"My favorite vegetable is spinach" I say back to Yelena. I then hear the door open.

"Dads home" mom yells. We then all slowly sit down in our seats. Dad at the head of the table. mom and Natasha at the sides of him, then Yelena by mom and me by Natasha. My dad doesn't sit down though. He just passed around the room.

"Everything okay" mom sad to my dad. He stops and looks at her.

"How was everyone's day?" My dad asks.

"Yelena showed my forest stars today!" I say excitedly. He smiles at me.

"Mmm-hmm" he says. Mom gets up and they both go into the other room.

"What's wrong with mom and dad?" I say asking my older sister Natasha as we all noticed how he looked when he came in, and now him and mom are going into the other room to talk.

"Nothings wrong. But just remember that us three sisters will always be together." She's said answering me. I listen and don't say anything back

"That's a funny thing to say. Why would you away that" Yelena asks. Not getting what it means like me except she's way more talkative.

"Just- Nevermind" she says as are parents walk back into the room. They both sit down.

"Girls" dad says and we stop eating  and look at him. " do you remember when I told you that one day we would have that big adventure?" He says and looks around. "Todays that day." He adds on and I smile. Excited for the adventure.

"Yay!" Yelena says

"Alright let's go" my dad says and gets up from the table. Me and Yelena follow him. Leaving my oldest sister and mom sitting at the table still. They all grab things and I grab my stuffed elephant.

"Come on" Natasha says and grand my arm. Hurrying me up as I had wanted to grab other toys but I only got to grab my favorite one. We then all get into the car, me in between Natasha and Yelena. Leaning my head on Natasha. We then pull out of the driveway and we're off on are big adventure.
