Tw: unfortunately more sadness and self harm :(
If that kind of thing triggers any mental trauma or stress please skip this chapter.
Here's a summary of the last one so you're not confused if you skipped:
Namaari got back to Fang where she was immediately brought to the healers room where she thought about all the horrible torture Ranjana put her through, and how she deserved it after what she's done to the world.
A few hours later, in the early hours of the morning, Namaari woke up to Raya asleep by the mat she was on. The faces of both women looked like they'd been crying. Namaari had definitely been crying, but she wasn't sure about Raya.
"Who would ever cry for me? I'm a horrible person." The thoughts still wouldn't stop. The past few months after the dragon gem incident had been good, however, Namaari had never hated herself more. As she looked closer, she saw something clutched in Raya's hand. She was tempted to look at it but thought it best not to. But then Raya got her other hand out from under her head, and grabbed Namaari's hand, intertwining their fingers. Namaari was shocked for a second, but then started caressing the Heart princess's hand with her thumb.Time skip to the morning like the basic wattpad kid that I am
By the time Namaari woke up the next day, Raya had left. The morning seemed to go by in a blur as Anong came by every few hours, checking on her and giving her medicine and healing ointment. They didn't really work very well, considering her arm still hurt like a bitch. The other lands were supposed to leave today, however, after the issue with Ranjana, their stay had to be extended in order to come up with a solution. Just then, chief Virana came in to see her daughter. "Namaari?"
"Mother?""It's good to see that you're awake, moonlight. But tell me, what exactly happened?" A stern glare appeared on her face. "Was it that man?"
Namaari looked down at the ground. "Yes," she replied with a somber tone of voice. "My little morning mist, what troubles you?" (Omfg such a wholesome nickname I'm gonna cry💖) "Nothing mother. It just hurts," Namaari replied. Virana rubbed her daughter's back gently. "If you say so, daughter. I have things to discuss with the council, so I must go. Please, darling, if anything troubles, don't bottle it up, alright?"
MOTHER DAUGHTER MOMENT OMG I CRY NOW TwT
Namaari smiled a bit. "Yes mother," and Virana left. Namaari was glad no one saw her other injuries. "Dep' la?" Asked a familiar voice. It was none other than Raya. "Anong told your mom who told me that you were awake and I could come see you." Namaari smiled, remembering last night's encounter. Raya sat down next to her. "Sooo, I was thinking we could visit for a bit if you feel up to it," Raya suggested. "Sounds good," Namaari agreed. She couldn't let Raya know she was in more pain than just her arm. They chatted about everything from weapon preferences to spicy food to dragons for what seemed like hours. "You know Dep' la, this kinda reminds me of when we first met. Talking with you, being with you, is nice." Raya said. "Yeah," replied Namaari. "Raya?"
"Hmm?""I..i...well... well I'm sorry," Namaari blurted.
Raya looked over at her. "Sorry for what," she asked. Namaari's eyes began filling with tears, but she quickly wiped them away. "For everything. For the dragon gem, for Sisu, for breaking the world, for everything!" Namaari was crying now. Raya took her hand. "Hey! Hey! That's all in the past, it's all over now. What happened?"
She wiped away a few tears. "That man kept reminding me of everything I did, and how he was right for torturing me, and how I was the monster and not him. And he's right. Everything I did broke the world, and I'm sorry but I know sorry isn't enough," she was crying harder. Raya intertwined their fingers.
"That is not true. You did do those things, and it still hurts, but everyone's hurt people, and you apologized and held yourself accountable unlike lots of people. You are not a monster. You are not evil. You had good intentions. You did it for your people and your land and your mother. I forgive you, and others will in time," she soothed. "Dew drop?" It was chief Benja. Raya was about to leave, but then Namaari pulled her into a strong embrace, not caring how much it hurt her arms. Raya hugged back, her fingers running through the other woman's smooth hair. She then broke the hug and left without a word.*does little lad dance* gay gay homosexual gay👁👄👁
