Raya and Benja were looking through scroll after scroll, trying to figure out more about Ranjana's magic. "He said he got more powerful during Druun attacks," Raya informed. The dragon gem, made by Dragon magic, stopped Druun. If we got enough dragons to help us fight, their power would be strong enough to override Ranjana's magic."
"That makes a lot of sense," Sisu replied nodding. "I know some really powerful dragons. We can go to them tomorrow."
Time skip to tomorrow🗡💜💙
Anong was happy to inform everyone that Namaari had made a full recovery. "It's not surprising," chief Virana said in her usual calm, smooth tone. "My daughter is a strong, resilient young woman." When Raya heard the news, she rushed to find Namaari. She spotted her in the sparring room, sharpening her spear. "Dep' la?" Namaari's head shot up immediately. "Raya," she went over and put a hand on her shoulder. "I uh, heard you're better," stuttered Raya shyly. Neither of them were usually this shy. On the contrary, they were both quite outspoken and strong people. "Sooo, did you get the um, note I gave you?" (Raya you useless lesbian just tell her you love her😤). "Um, yeah. Haven't read it yet." They just stood and stared at one another. They stayed like that for exactly two minutes before Namaari got back to sharpening her weapons. "I need to get back to training." She started to walk away before Raya stopped her. "Wait, Namaari. Sisu and I were going to see her siblings, want to come along? It's part of the plan to stop Ranjana." Namaari smiled, a rare occurrence. "I'd love to."
Raya, Sisu and Namaari were riding Tuk-tuk, Sisu giving directions. The others had insisted on coming too, but Raya refused, saying that it was too dangerous.
"Okay, now we just head south for a bit and we'll be there. Also, don't worry," she held a bunch of various colored lilies in her arm. "I have a gift." They arrived at a cave again, but this one was different from Ranjana's. While Ranjana's cave was cold, dark and dead, this one was lively with beautiful vines and flowers and plants growing in and around it. The air had just the perfect amount of humidity, and had the earthy scent of fresh flowers and rain.
"This is it, the cave I grew up in. It feels so nice to be home after all these years." They heard a whoosh from above, before hearing a smooth, luminous female voice.
"Sisu! Oh how wonderful it is to see you little water dragon! What brings you here after all this time?" A beautiful lavender colored dragon covered in scars flew down to the cave floor. Sisu turned back into a dragon and smiled. "Hi Sang," Sisu greeted. "Oh! I see you brought friends." Raya and Namaari made the dragon gem hand symbol and bowed. "Oh, I suppose your siblings will want to see you again as well. They've missed you." As if on cue, Sisu's siblings, Pengu, Jagan, Amba, and Pranee, flew in. Pranee spoke first. "Sisu! Oh my goodness! It's been a long time! We missed you sis!" After all of the dragons greeted each other, Namaari spoke up. "Mighty dragons, we need your help. There's a powerful evil man trying to take over Kumandra. He has dark power he absorbed from the dragon gem, and is seeking godlike abilities. We were hoping with enough of your power, we could defeat him.""Hmm," Sang pondered aloud. "What sort of powers?"
Raya handed Sang the scrolls. "Here are some scrolls about his kind of magic." The dragon read the scrolls before looking concerned. "Oh my. He really is a bad man. Who is this exactly?" Raya sighed, looking ashamed. "Ranjana. He's-he's my uncle, chief Benja's brother." she sighed. "Oh, I just don't know what we can do. I will think, and I will send a message to Kumandra if I think of something." Raya and Namaari bowed. "Thank you, divine dragon. We'll be on our way."
"Hey. I'm gonna stay here for a while," Sisu added. "To catch up, ya know?" Raya nodded. "Okay, Sisu."
The journey back to Fang was absolute silence. The cave was south of Talon, which was a two hour journey back to Fang if you took a narrow stone pathway. Back in Fang palace, they were in Namaari's room. Namaari stood over her bed side table with her head down. "Dep' la?" Raya reached out to touch her shoulder but Namaari slapped her hand away. (yes I must stir up drama! >:D) "You said that plan would work..."
"What?" Raya asked. Namaari fiercely turned around. Namaari was angry. "You said that plan was foolproof, that Ranjana would be gone for good! Why would you lie to me?"
"I'm sorry I really thought it would work as planned," Angry tears rolled down Namaari's cheeks. "Well it didn't! You have no idea what I went through when I was at his cave. All the horrible memories! DO YOU KNOW HOW BADLY I WANTED TO KILL HIM?! AND JUST WHEN I GET THE CHANCE, IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK!"
Raya was shocked and angry. "Well, I was stuck with Ranjana for eleven years of my life! That whole time, he hurt me, insulted me, told me awful things! None of the other kids in Heart wanted to be my friends because of him! My Ba and Tuk-tuk were all I had!" Now Raya was crying. "And besides, it's not my fault, you're such a horrible backstabbing binturi that you had all those FUCKING MEMORIES IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!" Namaari was frozen as Raya ran out of the room.
Oh no whatever shall we do? :(
