Meeting with the attendant
"And here is the daycare, this will be your department." The monotoned worker said. Clearly tried and hating that fact he had to do this tour for the new worker.
I nodded and we headed inside, there were two entrances to the daycare but I was told I could only go through one during the day and the other for night shifts. Something about 'keeping the magic for kids' as the manager said. So both me and my co worker had to slide down the tube into the colourful ball pit.
Secretly I really enjoyed it, I never really went to places like this as a child so I had to hold back a smile. We exited the ball pit and I almost gasped. All around was a massive jungle gym, slides, ballpits and different types of climbing blocks.I could hear my inner child screaming with excitement as we walked over a corner where I see a large yellow robot doing a puppet show.
I smiled softly as I watched the display. Dave (the worker) cleared his throat loudly to get the attention of the robot who seemed to be upset that his show was interrupted, however he covered it up by telling this kids he must go on an adventure. Soon the robot came over to us by doing a cartwheel. I giggle softly "HELLLLOOOO Dave! How are you? Are you having fun? What is up" the yellow robot exclaimed with his hands on his hips. "Sundrop. This is Y/N, they will be helping you around the daycare. Too many parents have complained about their kids being scared around naptime."
'Sundrop' then turns his attention to me and grabs my hands. Shaking them in a very happy way "HELLO HELLO HELLO! I'm Sundrop I can't WAIT to start working with you! Ooooo this is gonna be so exciting I'll have a friend helping me with all my mini friends!"
This Sundrop guy...is definitely something. Even over his over the top personality something about him is...unsettling. I tried to shake it off as not being used to him and his personality. "Haha yep! I'm looking forward to working with you too Sundrop. Do you have a schedule you use by any chance?"
Sundrop nodded and ran over to a open office and grabbed a paper and ran back. Handing me the paper and I looked down. I laughed softly at the crayon drawing and time schedule. It was clearly copied and printed a few times. It was cute.
"Alright. I'm doing back to my job. They are your problem now Sundrop. Bye." Dave said as he exited the daycare.
