A week had passed after the sleepover at Chaeyoung´s place and we returned to our usual busy selves. But the words Hayoung-unnie told me that night kept on bugging me. I´ve given much thought about it and I decided to just give it more time. I know I´m really sure about my feelings, but I fear that the bond between me and Gyuri will go to waste if she doesn´t feel the same.Speaking of that girl, she´s gonna perform today in her piano recital. I haven´t seen her since this morning probably because she´s been preparing a lot.
"Jissen, should we get to the auditorium already? We have to get to the front seats so that Gyuri-unnie can see us all," Seoyeon requested. I nodded.
"Yeah, I think we should. Let´s just save some seats for Saerom-unnie and Hayoung-unnie," I told her.
Sadly, Jiheon can´t come to watch because she needs to review for her upcoming exam. Also Chaeyoung. Nagyung will be there a little later since she has a rehearsal for her theatre debut.
"Alright, let´s just wait for Jiwonie to come back." And so we did. Jiwon had to go to the restroom first.
Today´s recital line up includes Yuri, Minju and then Gyuri.
"Guys! Guess what I just found out!!" Jiwon´s loud voice echoed through the ends of the hallway. I could just groan. She always likes to make a scene.
"Can you please tone down your voice, Megan? What are you about to say that got you so excited?" I asked as soon as she came to our side.
"Oops. Sorry about that Jissen. I just heard that there will be VIPs coming to watch the recital. Something about a music theater producer. Just imagine if I get casted out," she stated as if daydreaming. I rolled my eyes. I thought it was something important.
"Aigoo. You´re not gonna perform today, babe. Anyway, let´s go before the front seats get occupied," Seoyeon said and led the loud girl to walk.
When we got to place, it wasn´t that packed yet. Just a few people occupied the seats. We sat on the front as planned and waited for the recital to start. Jiwon was just talking about random stuffs and Seoyeon also shared her dream stories.
I decided to send a message of encouragement to Gyuri to cheer her up.
To: Gaejookie 🐶
Hey, Gaejookie. Don´t be too nervous, okay? We´ll be cheering for you. Fighting! 😘
Then sent it.
I was getting fed up not until Hayoung-unnie and Saerom-unnie came so we chatted instead.
"You know, Gyuri plays the violin and guitar too since we were kids. But she likes the piano the most because that´s what her dad wanted her to pursue. Each time her dad comes home from his duties, she´d play the piano for him and her mom," Hayoung-unnie told me. It was amazing how she was able to play different instruments. And the fact that she does it for her parents is very touching. Her parents must be so proud of her. And so am I.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for coming to witness our talented students in this campus, play their amazing pieces. To start off, let us welcome our first student to show her talent, Jo Yuri," the announcer said. The crowd clapped and the curtains opened on the center of the stage, where a grand piano was located. A few moments, Yuri stepped on the stage and bowed. She will be performing her self-composed song.
Playing: Someday
After her was Minju, who will perform a song "As We Dream".
Playing: As We Dream
As Minju finished her piece, I got nervous and excited at the same time. It´s finally Gyuri´s turn. Nagyung came just in time for her performance.
