"So, what do you think? You got the role. You think you can do it?" Jaden kneeled next to his blue-haired counterpart, rubbing his shoulder. Jaden broke the news to him after the cast list was released. The poor thing went to a corner and sulked. "It's not going to be that bad. Marilyn will coach you through it. She seems nice enough." He received a glare from him, backing up a bit.

"It's fine, sorry. I just didn't think I would get it." Jesse groaned and slid onto his back, grabbing the hem of Jaden's sleeve and lightly tugging it. "You jinxed me. You know what that means, right?"

Jaden looked down at him and giggled. "I have to help you practice, don't I?" He received a slight smirk, which meant he hit the Jackpot. "I guess I did sort of encourage you in the first place. I'll be your personal assistant during the whole process, I swear it. To make sure your Princely self is always camera ready." He got his side pinched before getting into a brawl on the floor, the laughter attracting one Chazz Princeton. His barging into the room silenced the two boys immediately. Jaden was upsidedown with Jesse facedown underneath him. "Oh! Hey there, Chazz! What's up?"

The young Princeton leaned against the door frame and frowned. "Nothing much. Just found out that I'm not the Prince. But that's okay since Alexis isn't Cinderella. Still, you win this time, Anderson." He huffed before finally walking in. "Alexis did get a major role. But it irks me that Marilyn picked her as the Step-Mother! I mean, she's Alexis freaking Rhodes! She should have gotten the lead!" He sat down on the floor in a huff. "Extremely unfair."

Jaden got off of Jesse, helping him up. "Well, she didn't seem into it at all. I was confused why she did it at all. Did she mention anything to you two?"

Jesse looked at Chazz, the two shrug. "No. Not at all. I agree; she looked pretty annoyed. Alexis stayed with me after I read from the script, which was nice, but I can't help but feel that she is doing the play for something else. I wouldn't pry. For all we know, she's just looking after her brother. By the way, was anyone else surprised that he's a part of the show?"

Jaden laughed, guessing his involvement early on. Maybe it was for her brother that she decided to enter, but he couldn't shake the feeling that it was something else behind it. He shrugged it off for now, but it'll be in the back of his mind for a while.

"C'mon, you two. It's time for dinner. If you're late, then I'll get both of your portions. So hustle it up!" Chazz got up from the floor and swiftly left. Jaden and Jesse got up and followed him as they were starving, and the mention of food completely clouded their minds. Within seconds, they beat Chazz to the Slifer Cafeteria.

Jaden was handed a packet of paper by the stage director, which listed all stage directions and set designs. Jaden has never seen so many words on paper unless Crowler gives them mountains of homework. He was so preoccupied reading everything on the first page that the voice of the stage director startled him.

"Let's go over this. We were hoping for more participants, but we'll make do with what we have. But that means no slacking off." The Ra yellow stage director eyed some of the Slifer Reds in the room. Jaden sighed slightly, figuring the student was influenced by some Obelisk Blue classmates with prejudices. "We have set designs that need to be constructed and painted along with props and tech booth stuff. A major part will be on the days of the performances; we'll need people backstage to help actors transition smoothly and move set pieces. These people will need to be limber and quick on their feet to provide for the whole production. We'll discuss this further when we get closer to performing the whole show. For now, we'll go over everything you need to know about the designs and stage directions."

Jaden looked over to see Syrus and Hassleberry leaning on each other out of boredom before letting his mind wander. 'I wonder how Jesse is fairing? He wasn't too happy to be cast as Prince Charming, so he must be miserable. I feel bad about that. If we get out early, I'll visit him at rehearsal. Maybe bring him some dinner.' Jaden thought while doodling on his paper. He smiled, drawing Jesse with a crown on his head. However, it was an extremely crude drawing.
