The girl with not-quite wavy, not-quite straight hair and dark blue eyes was Charity Woodlin.
Charity lived with her aunt because her parents traveled far too frequently due to their job as foreign affairs agents for the Ministry of Magic to develop a regular household.
These past eleven years of her schooling, the last five of which were wizarding lessons, were taught to her at home by her aunt. However, her aunt's lessons weren't exactly as educational as they should have been, so Charity opted to teaching herself spells and learning witchcraft and wizardry out of books in her aunt's library.
Yet she grew tired of doing so, and begged her parents to let her attend an actual wizarding school. Besides, she knew the real reason her parents had had her homeschooled all these years was to keep her crazy aunt company.
Charity had attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry last year as a fifth year student and was attending this year as a sixth year student. She was properly exited to be back with her fellow Ravenclaws.
Charity kissed her aunt goodbye before boarding the Hogwarts Express and searching the compartments of the train for her friend Nora Lately. She found the pretty red-head a ways down the train and entered the compartment with her tabby cat Binx and her luggage. After greeting her friend and storing her trunk, she sat down opposite Nora with Binx on her lap and listened to her friend recount the events of the summer. Their conversation topic moved from last term, to Charity's aunt's awful lessons, to the classes they planned on taking this year.
"We have the N.E.W.T.S this year you know," Nora said.
"Oh yea. I guess studying will be on the agenda a lot this year."
About three-fourths of the way there, both girls fell asleep. The whistle of the train telling the passengers they had arrived woke the girls and urged them to change into robes and get their things together.
The horseless carriage ride under the stars to the castle called Hogwarts was nothing short of magical. The air around them seemed to hold promises of new hopes and new opportunities.

A/N: I really did not want to include all of this background information on part one, so I made it it's own little chapter thingy. Also it might seem annoying that Charity only joined Hogwarts her fifth year, but it is essential to the plot I promise. But anyway, keep reading and I hope you guys enjoy the rest of this silly little fan fiction ;)
