At the end of the day, Double D sighed. It was a Friday, and his parents were coming over to see how he was doing.
But Double D knew it was just another excuse to talk about how he needed a girlfriend.
Fumbling with his keys, he finally managed to open the door he slammed it behind him, making sure it was locked. Dropping all his things on the ground, but still setting them over their assigned places, he dragged himself towards the kitchen.
Double D was tired today and couldn't fake it. So he decided that he was going to act like himself. He flopped himself on the counter and let out a loud groan.
He made himself some coffee, just to have some energy to fight the bullshit that was coming his way.
He heard a knock on the door and downed his coffee like it was going to be taken away from him. Soon, he regretted it as he felt the tissue being burned off of his tongue.
'They came earlier.' Double D opened the door with a fake smile. On the other side stood his parents.
His mother had black hair and blue eyes. She was where a black dress with white pearls on her wrist.
His father had black hair with green eyes. Wear the original business suit.
Think of them as the stereotypical rich parents in a movie that care about their child, but don't try to show it. But don't try to make an effort to show that they love them, so they just give them money.
His mother hugged him with joy and stepped inside. His father patted him on the head, messing up his hat completely.
Both parents took a seat on the couch. Double D sat on the other couch and waited for the questions to roll in.
"So, how is school going." His mother asked with a fake smile on her face. "It's going well." Double D spoke in a lazy tone. This set his parents aback. Double D was normally happy to see them. They looked down, and yes, everything was still labeled, but their cups of tea or coffee were not there.
Tho, they were surprised. They continued anyway. Smiling a nervous smile, his father asked: "So do you have a girlfriend."
Double D sighed, knowing that it was coming. He pitched the bridge of his nose. They caused the air to feel as though it was thicker.
"No. I don't, " He said, sounding annoyed. "You have been asking me this for what? 3 years? Geez, back off."
Double D got up to make him and his family some tea. Maybe he will make himself coffee.
Little unknown fact to his parents: Double has never liked girls. He liked guys. If he had to put them in one group, he'd say, guy's like Kevin.
Tough, not going down without a fight. Would stand up for someone when he thought it was right.
Thinking about Kevin made Double D blush and even smile. His parents noticed and got up to stand by his side.
"Is there something you want to tell us?" His father asked. Double D froze. What was he supposed to say.
They still thought he was into girls. Double D felt like he was running out of air. He excused himself and told them to take the tea, and he would be right back.
When he got outside, he took a long, deeper breath and sat on the porch. He almost cried. What was he supposed to do or say?
"Hey, even though you've been asking me for 3 years about a girlfriend. I just want to tell you that because I'm gay, I'll never have one. "
"What?"
