I pretended to pay attention to my third period class, but as usual I stared blankly out of the window I was sat next to.

School was a pain in the ass, and it was definitely not something that I enjoyed. Waking up at 6 am? Yeah, no thanks. I can't believe that girls in this stupid class actually wake up at 5 to make themselves look nice.

To me, throwing on a band shirt and jeans were good enough. Why the hell should I care what other people think of me? I don't want to be with any of the ugly guys at my school anyways, so why bother.

"Destiny?" A voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I turned to the guy who sat next to me, Tanner. He was cute, but he was a really good friend of mine, so I don't find the idea of us being together that great.

"Uh, yeah?" I asked, yawning and stretched afterwards. That's me for you, still exhausted at 11:45 am.

He laughed under his breath. "You know, if you don't put any effort into your classes, then there's no use on complaining about how failing all the time."

I rolled my eyes. "Sorry that I'm not a goody-two-shoes like you. Mr. Straight A's, honor roll student..."

He huffed as he looked up to the lesson.

My grumpy old man teacher, Mr. Fletcher, spoke in his loud, thundering voice. "Okay class, here's your homework. If you have any questions, remember that I've already taught you the lesson so if you don't understand then that's your own fault."

He laughed under his breath as he went to go sit at his desk. What a jerk. I was half tempted to stand up and yell, "I PROTEST AGAINST CHEMISTRY!" But, knowing how much trouble I'd get in, I decided to keep my mouth shut.

"Ten bucks and I can have all the answers?" I quietly turn to Tanner.

"How are you going to college if you just expect me to do you all of your work for you?" Tanner shakes his head, disbelieving at me.

I smirk. "You know, that is a very good question."

I made my way to my usual lunch table with all of my friends, side by side with Nikki.

"I just can't believe that Mrs. Ingrid thinks we can get an essay done in two days- 1000 words worth! Ughhh." She groaned as she threw her sack lunch around.

"Mhm," I responded, not really understanding her pain since I didn't have Mrs. Ingrid. "So what food do you have?"

She laughed, "Destiny's three, only, thoughts; food, bands, sleep."

"Oh, you know me too well." I said, laughing along with her.

Soon enough we approach our lunch table. Well, half of one. On one side we have Tanner, Anna, and Todd. On the other, Lindsay, Jack, and Sarah. Nikki say by Tanner and gave him a long, intimate kiss.

"Ew, get a room!" I say taking Nikki's lunch bag and rummaging through it.

Lindsay lightly shoves me. "Oh come on, Destiny. Just sit back and witness the sight of young love."

I make a grossed out face, and find a bag of goldfish. I chuckle, finding it funny that an eighteen year old girl still packs her lunch and puts goldfish in there. Aye, I guess I can't be such a hypocrite since at the very moment I was eating away at the delicious snack.

"Hey!" I hear someone yell at me and lightly smack me afterwards.

"Ow, shit." I then noticed the precious goldfish being taken away from me. "B-but.. my goldfish..." I trailed off.
