Mattheo's POV
She was clearly using her so called friend Dex to get back at me for the Melissa incident. I couldnt let myself get screwed over, so I had to be the one who broke up with her. Although, I could tell she was confused about our relationship.

But it was hard, especially because she just told me she loves me. Im not good with relationships, I never was. Neither with romantic relationships or normal friend relationships.

I didnt want her to feel like I was using her, especially after what we did today. She probably thinks Im some kind of douche. I wouldnt blame her if she did think that though.

I felt extremely guilty for leaving her like this. She doesnt deserve this, but it is her fault for not telling me about Dex.

Aaliyah's POV
I sit next to him watching over him sleeping. I was thankful for his company over the last 2 months, especially the fact that he invited me to his house without thinking twice.

I do love Dex, but hes only a friend and Mattheo needs to understand that. Dex is like a brother to me, and I love the relationship we have with him. We would do anything for each other but not in a sexual way.

We were best friends since I was 4 and he was 5, we protected each other as much as we could. We shared everything, we would always find hidden secret places in the house, and hide there for hours just enjoying each others company.

"Aaliyah?" he wakes up looking up at me, "hey" I smile at him as he yawned whilst stretching. "Youre in my bed Elrod" I smirk at him, raising my brows to him.

"Shit sorry" he mumbles still half asleep, "I was waiting for you to come back, and I must of fallen asleep" he chuckles. "Its fine dont worry" I giggle.

I sit down next to him after he moved. My back is resting on the headboard, as I saw him staring at me through the corner of my eye.

All I could think about was Mattheo.. he just wouldnt leave my thoughts for a single second. He treated me like shit, and expected me to come crawling back, but no not this time, either he apologises and makes it right or were not getting back together.

But he started this, so he has to fix it.

Mattheo's POV

• A month later •
"Wake upp Mattheo" I hear a sweet voice say to me, Aaliyah? "Better" they reply. This is when I was getting confused, because I didnt know anyone else who mind reads.

"Fuck off" I groan still mostly asleep, "Mattheo wake up we have to go to Dumbledore's announcement this morning" she whines.

"Why is that then Constance" I ask, still with my face in the pillow, "because Im getting introduced to the entire school maybe" she scoffs, I could practically hear her eyes roll.

"Fine then" I get up and go to shower, setting the heat to the hottest one. It burns my skin but its my punishment for losing Aaliyah.

"You joined at a weird time" I say to her as soon as I left my bathroom, "Im sorry but I dont remember me asking" she replies.

"Well it is Saturday soo.." I get changed into a random jumper and joggings. I could tell Constance was worried what the school would say about her, but she covers that fear up with her flashy clothes. But also her 'good' collection of words so she doesnt accidentally swear at one of the teachers, shes been practicing to not swear so much or tell people to kill themselfs and die.
