Wu Xie's 20. Young, bright, and carefree.

The Wu family has always been protective of their only heir. From childhood until young adult, Wu Xie cannot get out of Wu's family grasp that easily. Entering college means freedom for Wu Xie but not really. Although he persuades his parents and uncle to let him live alone, that comes with a price.

A chaffeur.

An apartment located 15 minutes away from Wu's mansion.

A campus 30 minutes away from Wu's mansion.

Weekly visits to Wu's Mansion.

Everything that happens needs to be reported either to his uncles or parents or all of them.

And the list goes on.

Sometimes Wu Xie feels it's better if he just stays at Wu's mansion.

Wu Xie cannot go anywhere easily too except if there's Xie Yuchen with him. Xie Yuchen is a green card for Wu Xie. Xie Yuchen thinks he's just babysitting Wu Xie at this point.

Xie Yuchen is Wu Xie's relative.

Anyway, Wu Xie feels his life is going well. He gets into a prestigious university, makes a lot of friends, is always on top of his class, and is so close to freedom from his family.

Little does he know, an arranged marriage is waiting for him.

The orange and white colours of the architecture faculty building give a positive and vibrant vibe; are filled with students bustling through the hallway; to cafes or classes. In the middle of the crowd, there's a particular male that stands out.

Wu Xie.

The male is slim with milky white skin and sparkling round brown eyes with long eyelashes. His dark brown hair looks so fluffy to touch. Dressing in khaki pants, navy blue sweaters to complete his look. He looks cheerful while talking to his friends.

'Wu Xie!'

A voice stops him.

Wu Xie turns around and smiles widely.

'Xiao Hua!'

He turns back to his friend, bidding them goodbye before making his way to Xie Yuchen.

'What's wrong?'

'Uncle told me to take you home. You don't have class any more, right?'

'Yeah. But why tho? Hmm. It's only Tuesday. Why they don't tell me themselves?'

Wu Xie's annoyed that his uncles use Xie Yuchen as their messenger when they can tell Wu Xie directly.

'Just follow me.'

Wu Xie makes a face before following him.

Wu Xie keeps glancing at his cousin while the latter is driving.

'Don't ask me. I don't know anything.'

'Liar bastard.'

Xie Yuchen just rolls his eyes. Wu Xie heaves a sigh, racking his brain to think of the reason his uncles drag him home. It's so unusual of them too.

Wu's mansion is humongous, standing tall with three floors, a wide courtyard; a green garden on the right side, and tall gates surrounding the mansion.

Wu Xie closes the door of the car then looks at Xie Yuchen. The latter raises an eyebrow.

'I'll go first.'
