Today is a new day. A different day.
My motto to strive throughout the day. Thinking of the past would just make me upset and depressed. Nag-ayos na ako para sa trabaho. I am an editor for a publishing company, and on the side, I also do creative design.
Procrastination at its finest. It took me thirty minutes para maligo at halos isang oras naman para mag-ayos ng buhok at mukha.
I live at a condominium, my parents saved up enough money for me to live in. I will forever be thankful sa parents ko, they want me to be independent but at the same time they don't want to see me struggle to pay monthly for a small apartment with other roommates.
As my mom says, "save up enough for your family not to struggle, your child is not your investment but your inspiration to have a brighter future".
I drive a twenty-nineteen Toyota camry, my dad specifically picked this car dahil wala ako alam sa mga kotse. I just said yes since this is my first big purchase sa tagal ko nag-ipon. I picked my "Indie music" playlist since I like to gate keep music I listen to. For some reason, I like having the feeling of listening to a song before they get famous.
Once everything set, I drive to my workplace.
I parked my car sa likod ng building dahil lahat ng parking sa harap ng building ay occupied na and I only have ten minutes to clock in and report to my team leader sa progress ng libro na ine-edit ko.
I quickly run up to our system to clock in and just on time, I clocked in at seven fifty-five am. We always need to clock in five minutes early to report our progress.
I went up to my floor which is fifth floor, and every floor is different genre para hindi confusing and organize daw ang station according to our CEO. I am in fantasy/mystery genre, but I do want to join romance genre pero wala pa silang opening kaya at the moment, I am still on the fifth floor.
"Wait for me!" She's on her phone at parang hindi yata ako ito napansin. She's looking on her phone as if she wants to murder it.
"Jesus!" gulat nitong sabi.
"Chrystia, jesus! You should've said something" "busy ka kasi sa phone mo na hindi mo ako napansin nung pumasok ka"
We were already at the fifth floor at lumabas na ako. "Mamaya na tayo mag-usap. See you" I waved good bye at her at nagpunta na sa office nang aking team leader.
I like my desk clean and simple. Madaming papers lahat ng mga editors dito, but I like mine neat and organized. All of them has sticky tabs according to how long they are and what genre.
Blue is for mystery, yellow is for fantasy, and red is for urgent. Orange is for short story, and Green is for novels. I usually skim through the novels before I tag them with sticky tabs. I can't focus kapag madaming papel at makalat ang desk ko.
