Safe and Sound

 Y/n means your name and F/AC means favorite anime character or if you want, favorite person name. I don't really care what you wanna use it as. F/F means favorite flower btw.

"Y/n, I am so sorry... You have to believe that I never meant for this to happen... Just come back. Come back to me! Don't leave me like this!" F/AC cried out, looking down at your limp body in their arms. Your E/C eyes were lifeless, devoid of anything as F/AC held you close.

I remember tears streamin' down your face

When I said I'd never let you go,

When all those shadows almost killed your light.

I remember you said "Don't leave me here alone",

But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight.

Blood poured from the open wound in your chest, staining their clothes red. They held your hand close to their own and pulled you as close as they could to their own body, crying. The tears fell from their eyes and fell upon your lifeless corpse. They closed their eyes and tried to pretend you weren't truly gone, but the lack of body heat coming from you screamed in their face, fighting against their state of denial.

Just close your eyes,

The sun is going down.

You'll be alright,

No one can hurt you now.

Come morning light,

You and I'll be safe and sound.

F/AC pulled a small musical locket that you had given to them two years before from their pocket and gently opened it, showing your smiling face next to their own. They shakily reached inside your own pocket and pulled out a small key, slipping it into the lock on the back of the box and turning it. Gaining a sense of calm from the soft lullaby it sang.

Don't you dare look out your window,

Darlin' everything's on fire.

The war outside our door keeps raging on.

Hold onto this lullaby,

Even when the music's gone,

Gone.

They continued doing this action until the locket fell from their grasp, landing on your stomach. They placed a gentle kiss on your forehead before closing your eyes gently and pulled a metallic object out of their pocket, smiled sadly down at your form. Your peaceful facial expression reminding them of how you slept most of the time.

"Y/n... I... I can't live without you! Not like this! I just can't!" F/AC wailed and pulled the mettalic object fully out of their pocket, showing a small pocket knife that you had given them in case of emergencies. They gently set your body down upon the gravel and held the knife straight out in front of them.

Ooh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,

Ooh, ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh

"I will be with you soon, my love." They said gently as they snapped the knife towards themselves. The knife pierced through the skin of their stomach and F/AC let loose a scream of pain before hitting the ground next to you. They turned slightly and looked at your peaceful face, smiling gently.

F/AC slowly close their eyes, the last thing they saw was your face as they openly embraced death. They slowly opened their eyes, seeing a vast sea of F/F. Standing in the middle of the flowers was you. You smiled brightly and ran towards them with open arms as tears of joy spilled down both your cheeks. Only three words were exchanged between the two of you as you walked towards the sunset.

"I love you."
