I close my eyes before turning my back at both of them. It's painful but this is the best way to let them happy without me. Turning my back doesn't mean I'm forgetting those people that is important to me. Turning my back means I'm ready and willing to let them go so they can live happily even if it means I am not with them, beside them.
I was scared, inaamin ko. I'm not that ready but I should. I needed. Life is like a candle. Darating ang oras na mauubos ka na. Oras na mawawalan ka na ng silbi. Oras na mauupos na ang iyong liwanag. Mahirap at masakit tanggapin, oo. Pero ano ba ang laban ko sa tadhana? SA buhay na hiniram ko lang din naman sa ating Panginoon, ano ang karapatan ko para kwestyunin ang oras na ibigay niya?
I should accept the bittersweet reality. But I shouldn't be bitter. I maybe live for just a short time but I think I did my best to make it memorable.
When I reach the bus station, I decided to look back at them. They're both crying. I looked at my bestfriend who cries endlessly. She's been a good friend—I mean a best bestfriend ever to me. Napakabuti niyang kaibigan, kumbaga parang kapatid ko na siya. We're that close. That's why I love her and that makes harder for me to let go. Lastly, my eyes landed on a man beside her. Hugging and hushing her to calm down even if he is also crying.
He's a gentleman, I can prove that. Palagi siyang na'ndiyan para sa'kin. He is also a shoulder that I can lean on bukod sa bestfriend ko. Napaka-ideal man niya. Kumbaga, too good to be true. That's why he deserves the love that surely I can't give.
I smiled even if my eyes are in tears. Mixture of happiness and sadness are the emotions that I am feeling right now.
I want to hug him, them. I want to tell how much I love him. How I wish that I can stay forever with him. I want to feel his warm embrace again. But I think I couldn't let go if I did that. Siguradong magbabago lang ang isip ko at pipiliting lumaban kahit wala ng pag-asa. My body is tired. My heart is weaker than before. I know I can't fight anymore.
I smiled again. I looked at him eyes to eyes. I mouthed “Love her like how you love me” to him before turning my back at them forever.
