I finish getting dressed as soon as I'm sure Natsu is in the kitchen.
I can feel the lingering heat in my cheeks as I exit my bedroom.
I frown when I see his butt sticking out from behind the fridge door.
"Stop raiding my fridge you pig! You just ate how are you hungry again?"
He peeks out from behind the door with my leftover sub sandwich in his mouth. He just winks and hops on the counter, chewing quietly.
(I don't know if its just me or not but I HATE when people start smacking right in my ear. I be like, "Bitch. No.")
I huff and grab a glass cup out of the old cabinet, I need to install some new cabinets and drawers in here they constantly get stuck....
As I'm filling my cup up at the sink in front of the window I notice that the sunny weather from outside has turned into a full on blizzard.
I turn and address Natsu, "Do you plan on walking home in this weather?"
He glances at the window and shrugs. "I'm a fire dragon slayer. The cold won't bother me."
I sigh and shake my head, what if he gets lost? What if he gets buried in snow and suffocates?
I drink my water and stare at the wall. I turn back to Natsu and say, "How about you spend the night here? You can sleep on the air mattress." He looks about as surprised as I feel. Where did that come from...
"Are you sure? I mean its really no problem for me to walk home."
I shake my head and stare pointedly at him, might as well go along with it. "Nope. You're staying because I'm worried about you for a million different reasons. I may have only just met you today but I still care and from what my intuition tells me, your a great person."
He gives me a cheeky smile and says, "You won't even know I'm here."
I giggle and roll my eyes "I'm so sure of that."
He gives me a wounded look and places a hand on his heart, "I'm so deeply wounded by your unkind words"
"Whatever Pinky" I turn on my heel and walk out of the kitchen leaving a huffing and puffing dragon slayer behind.

I finish filling up the air mattress just as Natsu walks into my bedroom hesitantly, don't want another mishap like earlier.
"God Natsu why the hell were you in there for so long??"
He just laughs and says, "You have lots of tasty food in there"
I huff and toss a few blankets and a pillow at him. "Make your own bed" I do the same and soon we're laying in our beds.
"Hey Luce?"
"Yeah?"
"Wanna hear a scary story?"
"No"
"Pretty please?"
"...." I stare at the ceiling
"With a cherry on top???" He whines in a small voice.
"Fine" I sigh
"YES!" He clears his throat and begins in a deep voice that sends shivers down my back, " Jimmy was a young boy, 6 years old to be exact, and he loved his family. He had a twin sister, Olly, a loving mother and father and a newborn little brother. One night he was in Olly and his room, they were laying in bed and Olly was already asleep. He stared at the door that led into the hallway, his Cars nightlight illuminated the room. He started to fall asleep when a dark shadow darted in through the crack in between the door and the frame.
He shut his eyes and pretended to be asleep, he heard nothing but his sisters and his own soft breathing. He opened his eyes hesitantly and scanned the room, seeing nothing he soon fell asleep, not noticing that his sisters soft breathing had ceased.
The next morning he awoke to complete quiet, his sister was not in his bed, thinking she had already went to wake their parents up he quickly made his way out of bed. He moved as fast as his little legs could handle, he stopped in front of his parents open bedroom door, it was completely empty except for large purple letters on the wall that spelled out, There's a surprise in the living room for you Jimmy.
The little boy was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement. He ran down the spiral staircase of the house and through the kitchen only to stop in horror at the sight that lay before him.
The bodies of his family hung from the silver chandelier, his mothers once vibrant eyes were no longer even there and his fathers healthy golden hair was shaved off so that only his head was covered in a bloody mess. His beloved twin sister's teeth were the only way he recognized her as her pink braces were the only thing that remained intact on her bloody, bruised, mangled, and impaled body. Her eyes had crotchet needles sticking out them and her fingers were laying in a bucket labeled 'Olly' her body had long deep scratches down it and she was hanging upside down by her toes. His newborn brother had been dismembered and his limbs hung from seperate ropes like a long forgotten puzzle.
Written in blood on the once stark white wall were these two words, 'Happy Birthday' he only had time to glimpse those two words before a black figure moved in front of him and he was killed.
Police never did find out who did it but cases like Jimmy's were reported all around the world and they say that he chooses the family's that are leading to divorce or separation andhe murders every member of that family in brutal ways. All the cases had shown the parents weren't getting along or had filed for divorce." He chuckled darkly.
"What a nice story... Goodnight." I say, though if I were to be honest I'm terrified. I pull my covers up to my chin and scrunch my body up.
"Night Luce"
I close my eyes and try to sleep when I hear a shifting and stiffen, its only Natsu.... I open my eyes slightly and don't even have time to scream before a cold hand covers my mouth and I'm thrown off of my bed and onto the hard floor.
I hear a grunt of pain and turn to see Natsu struggling against three other people. Still remembering the story Natsu told I scream, "We're not even married!!!!!"
Fear grips me as another person walks up to me. I scramble to get up only to bump into another person. They haul me up to my feet and pin me in between them. I flinch when they knock Natsu out and I know that if I show any signs of struggle they'll do the same to me.
I look around my room cautiously, a total of 5. No... 6 I spy another person walking in through the kitchen, I can't see his face face but I gather that everyone is a male unless woman are into body building now.....
They drag us out the front door of my apartment after shoving foul tasting gags in our mouths.
They throw us into a tight fitting dark box and shut it, I hear a lock turn and sigh. I lay stiff since I can't move much because Natsu is squished against me.
I almost feel like crying when I realize my keys are still in my room.
I relax against Natsu and let a few tears slip, I feel useless. There's nothing I can do and Natsu can't help us right now, I spit my gag out.
"I couldn't even manage to fight back. Natsu did and he got knocked out.. I should've too. I'm just a coward.." I sniffle and move so my head is in his chest and not his stomach.
"That's not true Luce. Your not a coward in fact in the short time I've known you I think your an incredibly strong and independent. No if ands or buts about it. Now let's figure out our game plan."
