Those memories began to reappear on her mind, like a broken record tape. To be honest, she still couldn't believe that those were a few centuries ago already. Looking at her position now, it was clear that she's built herself up from such frightening moments, the past her would surely give her a pat on the back now and say "Good job" or something...

She also believed that she did a decent effort of avoiding her tragic fate, so why...Why on earth was the bane of death sent through her front door?

The Child that the Emperor asked to kill...Though his features are a bit different since he's still young, Anastasia could definitely see a resemblance. She could never forget the face of the future Hero that was destined to kill her...

Anastasia panicked. She was keeping her head down and distancing herself from all the drama of the capital. So why exactly was she placed at such a spot?

"Sir Hilbert? Why have you not answered my question?... Why is the Illegitimate son of the Emperor here! Being served to me on a platter?!"

"M-Miss Anastasia, I believe that we've reached some sort of misunderstanding, the current Emperor doesn't have any Illagitamte sons. And even if he did, it would properly be discussed in court, and he would remain at the royal palace-"

Hilber was cut off by the loud stomp that seemed to shake the very castle itself. Anastasia's eyes suddenly glowed a bright color of crimson

"Sir Hilbert. Let me just tell you now, that I absolutely despise liars who have the gal to continue lying despite me knowing the whole damn truth. So please, If you want you and your comrades to return home safely with your heads attached to your bodies, then I suggest you come clean. Why is he here?!... Why is Julius Von Klause in my castle?!

She'd unconsciously raised her voice in annoyance, which caused the faces of the messengers to grow all the paler. The knights were clearly shivering based on the constant clanking of their armor, and Hilbert, in particular, was having a hard time preventing himself from passing out

The atmosphere around her was weighing him down so much that he almost believed that there were boulders being stacked on his back. Hilbert was a member of the giant race, which was considered to be one of the most physically strong species out there, but even he knew instinctively that he was never a match for her

'Is this the power of the Great Vampire? The ruthless hound that's guarded the borders for centuries?'

He struggled to keep his breathing in check as he analyzed the situation once more.

First thing was first, how did she know of the situation? The things that she spouted earlier were highly classified Information that He and his closest aides worked around the clock as to not leak outside

They extensively created cover stories, and false witnesses as to hide the true situation...And they even went so far as to silent a few noisy birds...

Counting him and his colleagues at present, there were possibly only seven people in the entire Empire who knew this, and he was extremely confident that all of them wouldn't say a word even when faced with a specter of death...such as the woman in front of them

So how? How exactly did she know this Information?

'No, wait...It's useless thinking about that now...After all, she is a creature that possesses abilities and gifts far beyond my comprehension.'  For now, he decided to keep her temper in check and answer honestly for the time being

"Please do forgive me...We...I-I've brought him to you today to ask..."

And with one swift motion, Hilbert knelt, lower than he ever had before. His subordinates were caught off guard, they were certain that even he hadn't knelt that far even when in the presence of the Emperor
