Max POV-

After the Preston thing me and Neil went to go find Nikki, and as usual, she was sitting in the very back table where all the rats were. But even at the back things were crazy. These two kids, Henry and Ralph, were shooting Scott with water guns. Preston was back and was asking people if they wanted a pixie stick, whatever that is.

Welcome to my world

Me and Neil sat down next to Nikki and talked for a little about what a crazy morning it was and all the other stuff that happened that week.

For some weird reason. I couldn't take my eyes of Neil. He was a little moody, but he still looks... he looks..... I couldn't really put what he looked like into words.

Then all of a sudden, Nikki said something kinda funny, and Neil giggled. For some reason the room felt hotter. Like- a LOT HOTTER, my face felt warm too. I told Nikki and Neil I was going out to get some fresh air.

"What do you mean? I mean, Preston already broke the window" Nikki said. "Ya, you felling ok max?" Neil said.

I ignore his questions and step outside
