Surprising news/flashback

"We have to go on a ONE YEAR business trip to Hawaii and the house is kind of next to the beach."

"W-wha?!" I say so confused. "O-on the beach!?" "I can't go there you know what happened the last time I went there!"

FLASHBACK:
A/n- you are 6 now so you're already not been friends with Camilo for 2 years bc you moved away then came back when u were 14.

"Here we are!" Dad yelled out as the warm breeze touched all of our body's. The white sand was so soft that I sank my feet into it. I could hear my two younger siblings fighting and arguing about who could swim faster, I never joined in on their fights I was always in my own world. Dad wanted to see who could swim the fastest too so he took my siblings to the water, I wanted to go in the water too so I followed. My dad was tell them 1.2.3 GO! for lots of times, I got tired of just floating there watching them swim so I swam off quietly. I went pretty deep in the ocean to where my legs couldn't reach the bottom I was never a good swimmer without my dad helping me. I tried to swim back to shore but the current was stronger than me, so I swam deeper in the ocean, I started to panic, paddling like crazy to get back to shore but the more I tried the more the current pushed me deeper into the ocean. I got pretty tired and my voice gets really low when i'm in panic which didn't help at all, it got to the point where the waves were to big for my small body that I started drowning up and down the waves took me every time I went up I yelled for help this time it was pretty loud "HELP ME IM DROWNING!" I say going back into the ocean but this time never going up again. I tried to paddle back up when... everything went dark... a few moments before:
"WHERE IS Y/N!?!?" My dad said in panic. "She went with you to swim in the ocean! I thought you were taking care of her!" My mom said mad/in panic. "What!? I never heard her coming with me." "You know she is a quiet child!" They were arguing when suddenly they heard "HELP ME IM DROWNING!" "Omg that sound like Y/N!! Well what are you waiting for go help her!" My mom yelled in panic. My dad went racing to get me, when he finally found me he brought me back to shore. "She is not breathing!" My dad said. "Well give her C.P.R!" My mom yelled out. After a while I woke up. I seen the water next to me and ran behind my mom I was now really scared of the water and my parents could tell. I looked around me and seen my siblings crying in fear then they were wiping their tears away. "I'm sorry I'm so sorry mamá y papá!" I say crying while they are comforting me walking me back to the hotel we stayed in.
That's when I grew a huge fear of the ocean. (2 other siblings were with your grandma.)"

A/n- btw she is NOT scared of lakes she is only scared of ocean water that you can't see what's in it.

"We know you're scared of the ocean water my granddaughter but we need to go on this business trip."

"Well i'm not going!" I say firmly.

"Mija you need to go, no one is gonna be at the house to take care of you." Mom says.

"What about abuelito?"

"While you were gone he went to Mexico to visit some family members." Dad says.

"Well don't you have some really close friends I could stay with?" I say as we all go quite and look at the Madrigal's house.

"What?" Camilo says confused as if he was daydreaming this whole time.

"Hm I don't know, we already let you stay for 2 days what if they don't want to let you stay again?" My mom says.

"Well it's worth a shot! Mom you're the closest to the grandma of the house so you go talk to them." mom says.

Grandma sighs and then she agrees.

"Mom there is something else it's night..." then I say to Camilo "is your grandma still awake?"

"Oh yea my whole family goes to sleep at like 10:00 p.m. all the time!"

Out of the no where Dolores pops out of the door and says: "if you're trying to stay then I could help you convince my grandma."

Oh yea I forgot she could hear everything. I say in my head.

"Well then could we come in?" Grandma says.

"Of course!" Dolores says.

The grandma of the Madrigales sees us. "(Your grandma's name!) what brings you here today?" She says with a smile. Her arms wide as if she was gonna give my grandma a hug.

"Oh hello my old friend! I was wondering if I could talk to you about something really important." My grandma says while giving her a hug.

"Oh yes of course you can. Come on in, i'll make some tea." She says gesturing us in the kitchen. (And by "i'll make some tea" she meant Dolores would do it.

Once we were served some (favorite tea flavor) my grandma opened her mouth then closed it again looking at my mom and back to the Madrigal's grandma, she sighed then finally she spoke.

"Well my friend I wanted to talk about what's happening." She says while the Madrigal's grandma gestures her to continue.

"Y/n's mom and dad need to go on a one year business trip to Hawaii and I have to go with them for personal reasons. And the whole family is going, the thing is, Y/n is scared of the ocean and we have to live next to the ocean, and she refuses to come with us." While she says this I blush a little.

"And we can't just leave her in the house alone. We need to know she is safe for sure. And the only one we can trust for her to be safe is... well um... you guys... and we were wondering is she could stay with you for a um... year?" Grandma says this blushing ever so slightly.
