The Dark Hat

Chapter VI

Maria kept yelling for help through the door and windows, but no one came to free her. She felt cold, with no one to hug and warm her. While waiting, Maria did nothing than bang her head on the door because she can't stand being locked in her room.

With an angry heart, Maria tried to find a way to get out. There in her room, she found a large rock. She thought of using that rock to break the doorknob. She kept banging the doorknob but it didn't work. She got so furious and went crazy that she is locked inside her room. Maria is hallucinating and doing crazy things.

Eating papers, crazy laughing, talking to herself. Till she finally knew a way to escape, she took the rock and broke the window. She remembered that she is on the second floor, so she removed the bed pillow and threw it down. Then she took out all her blankets and tied them together. She layed it down by the wall of the house and climb down.

She landed in the backyard. There is a gate at the backyard but what doesn't know is that it has an electric shock. She held the gate and she was electrified. She went to find the switch in the backyard, but the switch isn't in the backyard. So she broke in the house and went finding for the switch.

While searching for three hours, she found the switch and turned off the power. As she turned it off, she heard the door being unlocked. She knew it was her masters so she hid behind the counter table. When the masters have arrived inside their home, they noticed that the door leading to the backyard was open. So the father asked, "Did we leave this open?" But none replied.

So there he went to shut the door, but before he can even do that, Maria stood up and showed herself to them. They all screamed because they thought it was a ghost. When she stood up, she told her masters that she is leaving. The masters disagreed. Before they even were able to shut the door Maria went out and escape.
