Chapter one: Falling girl

I opened my eyes after the best nap I ever took. "Wow the sky is so pretty... wait why am I outside" I looked around me and I was in mid air.

"WHAT THE FUCK WHY AM I FALLING" I screamed out while trying to grab on whatever the air could give me.

As I was getting closer to the ground I could see a cute lil village.

"AHHH IM GOING TO DIE IM GOING TO DIE HELP HELP ME SOMEONE DO SOMETHING"

"Look a bird" I tried grabbing it but it just pecked at me when I touched it " OW MF YOUR SO RUDE".

Town person POV:

I looked up to see something falling I couldn't tell what it was but it was falling straight to the Madrigal's house.

"I better tell them"

I dropped my stuff while heading over there, some other people were going to the same direction ig they saw the falling object too.

Abuela went outside right when she saw us come running.

"What is going on" she asked then I spoke up " something is falling right towards y'all... Look"

Y/n POV:

I was falling but I was getting closer to the ground looked like inside of a house.

"HOLY SHIT PLEASE GOD PLEASE HELP ME I'LL READ A BIBLE PLEASE I DONT WANT TO DIE-" as I was screaming to God I saw some kids looking at me.

A girl shot vines at me, ofc I grabbed on.

It had spikes.

"Fuck" I let go out of pain just to land in someone's arms.

I looked up to see someone beautiful "am I in heaven".

The angel spoke " uh no hee" she placed me on the ground.

"Wow I think I'm in love"

The girl that helped my fall with her spiky vines came running down "I am so sorry I was panicking"

I looked down at my bleeding hands "oh it's fine it didn't even hurt" I was holding back tears.

I looked around to see a whole family looking at me.

"Where am I, who are you guys, why was falling"

This girl with curly hair and glasses walked towards me she looked about my age.

"Um your in our house, and we're the Madrigal family, and we have no idea why you were falling"

" Ahhh makes perfect sense" I said with a bit of a sarcastic tone.

A woman came walking right towards me with a empanada.

Ofc I took it even tho they are a total stranger, I was hungry.

As I was eating it I could see the holes in my hands healing

"Holy sh-" I raised my head a tad bit up to see a small child next to two other older kids "-molly :D"

One of the kids next to the little one laugh a bit.

"Yup I said holly molly that is what I said, yes"

"Um sorry what's ur name" the old grandma asked.

"Oh me um it's y/n... How about you guys"

"I'm Julieta and this is my husband Agustín, my three kids Isabella, Luisa, and Mirabel"

"I'm Pepa my husband Felix and our kids Dolores, Camilo, and Antonio"

"I'm Bruno I have no kids"

"And I'm abuela Alma"

"Coo cool so uh how'd you grow vines yk straight out of nowhere... Kinda freaked me out yk and uh HOW WAS I FALLING STRAIGHT OUT OF THE SKY AND NOT DIE"

"Oh well we all have gifts well uh most of us" Mirabel said.

"Tia Pepa can control the weather with her mood, my mom Julieta can cure anyone with a meal, Tio Bruno can look into the future, Isabella can grow plants flowers and all that, Dolores can hear everything, Luisa is super strong, Camilo can shapeshift, and Antonio can understand animals" she gasp after saying all of that in one sentence.

"Wow uh ok but what about you"

She sulked "I don't have a gift" "ahhh well that's ok I don't either heh" I shrugged my shoulder.

"Yea ofc you don't it's only in the Madrigal's" Camilo basically laughing in my face and shortly after the whole family did like I said something so stupid.

I was offended "WELL YOU NEVER KNOW IF I HAVE WIZARD POWERS LIKE YOU GUYS hm".

"Oh dear we're not making fun of you we're just saying it's impossible" Alma put her hands on my shoulder chuckling.

"You never know" I scrunched my face out of anger and embarrassment "yes I do the magic came from a miracle, I was there".

"Well what if there was another miracle somewhere else I mean I did fall from the sky" I smirked like I did something.

"You are very stubborn but... where did you come from"

I scoffed " wha- i- I don't know I woke up and I was falling mid air"

"Ok ok ig you have a point but where like before you went to sleep"

"Oh I was at my grandma's house in Mexico"

They all look at me a bit weirdly "you're in Columbia" I was so speechless.

"HUH WHA HOW DID I GET HERE"

"that's what we're trying to figure out genius" that Camilo kid opened his mouth again 'I don't like this kid'.

"Well sorry Mr shapeshifter"

"Ugh I'm so confused".

After talking a bit to the family they all went back to what they were doing and I was talking with Mirabel.

"So how come you don't have a gift like the others"  Mirabel shrugged "don't know but I think it was for the best I saved our family not that long ago".

"How fun... What happened tho" we both laying on her bed when she told me her whole little adventure.

"Wow that's crazy, you're pretty cool I would've been so angry about not getting a power and also getting treated like that" she laughed.

"I mean I was upset but not angry at anyone it wasn't their fault"

"Guess you right" she then shot up "do you have any powers I mean again you did fall straight front the sky"

I thought about it "hm idk maybe" "wanna try and find out" she suggested

"How do u find out" I asked sitting up on the bed "idk but let's ask Casita"
