𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗛𝗨𝗦𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗗
No One's POV:
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗗𝗬 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗘𝗦 served as a stark reminder of the early hour as you navigated your way back home. With the car windows slightly cracked open, you were greeted by the refreshing scent of damp earth after a light rainfall. Aside from the low hum of the engine, a peaceful silence enveloped you as you drove back home. That same early morning, Suturu had woken you from your sleep with the explanation that his car wouldn't start and that you'd have to drive him to work.
You were hesitant, not exactly thrilled at the idea of leaving your children alone in the house, but Suturu repeatedly assured you it'd be a quick trip and reasoned that they were still deep asleep. As a result, you tiredly agreed to drive him to work.
But as you journey on the road back home, an unsettling feeling stubbornly gnawed at the back of your head and you couldn't shake it off.
You could only hope it was you getting yourself worked up and nothing serious.
But at this moment, you wanted nothing more than to get home to your kids.
OTHER HUSBAND
Hiroshi relentlessly tossed and turned in his bed, trying his best to fall back asleep, but his attempts were nothing but futile. Eventually after a few more unsuccessful tries, he decided to get out of bed and go to your bedroom to see if you were awake.
He quietly trod down the hallway until he reached his destination which was your bedroom door and slowly turned the knob. The door opened with an elongated creak and the young boy peered inside but much to his visible surprise, you were nowhere in sight. He stepped into his parent's room, "Mama?" He called out, (eye color) eyes darting all over the room in search of you.
He entered the bedroom's bathroom, but it was empty too.
Hiroshi then went to Mika's room thinking that maybe she had woken up crying, and you went to comfort her. When he opened her door, he saw he was right about one thing. Mika was indeed awake, but she wasn't in your arms while you stood next to her crib; she was standing inside her crib as her little hands grasped the lavender-colored bars.
