All in a Day's Care: Truth/Dare

Y/N was at last released from Sundrop's grasp. The child chuckled in relief as they gave a thumbs up to reassure the concerned caretaker.

"But, Y/N. Tell me the truth. About what happened when I-I mean when, Moon appeared."

"Well... Uhm. Just, don't be mad at Moon-erm uh. Yourself, to be exact." You fiddled with your fingers, as you thought of how to formulate the story to him.

"Y... Yes, I won't. Just-please tell me. I'm supposed to make sure nobody gets hurt here-and it'll be one-big-BIG, problem if they found out." Sun needed to know, after all he was also Moon.

"Well... C-can we talk about this in a bigger space? I don't like small spaces a lot." You excused to buy some time for you to think it through.

Besides, you've also been sitting around in one place.

"Sure, sure! Let me help you out. I know every entrance and exit in the Daycare, since it's my home!" Sunny happily obliged.

"Should I follow you?"

"Ho-ho! No, that'd be too boring. May I also say a taaad-bit awkward as well? Which in-THAT-case, I, Sun the jolly and magnificent! Will give you a state of the art-que drum roll please~?"

You laughed at his impression, pretending to drum by knocking the floor for a few seconds. Stopping when Sun snapped his fingers.

"-Sunny-back ride!"

"Pfft-isn't it called Piggy-back ride?" Y/N snorted at the build-up.

"Nooope~!" He replied, immediately placing you on him.

"Then, what makes it different?"

"I'm the one giving it to you, silly~" Sun said slyly, before dashing ever so swiftly through the play area.

You held onto him, both of you giggling as you went up and down the playground.

"Here we are! A big space to talk freely to!" Sun exclaimed as he placed you in the ball pit.

"Okay..."

"I KNOW-it isss a... weird place to be in. But! All the other kids are in the play area. So, we won't be bothered as much!" Sundrop affirmed of your privacy.

Y/N then nodded as a small smile formed on their face.

"Now, let's start with when you came here. I haven't seen you for days and I really-really-REALLY have missed you." The Daycare attendant confessed.

"After the whole, getting stuck in this place accident-"

"Oh-don't say that! It isn't an accident for me... At least." Sunny reassured you, making the pressure of retelling the whole series of events less... tense.

"W-well. Uh. I'm sorry I didn't tell you the whole truth about the bruises I got last time. But..." You trailed off as you prepared for the worst.

"Buuut?" Sun leaned closer as he tilted his head in anticipation.

Y/N sucked in a long breath before spitting out the whole story.

"Remember when I first came here and was already awake when you tucked me to bed?-I actually had my first meeting with Moon. He looked and sounded exactly like you, which caused me to mistake you to be him that made him mad and slam me to the wall-"

"Moon-got MAD at YOU?! Then, he caused all this?!" The concerned Daycare attendant held your arms covered in bandages.

"Y-yes?" Y/N squeaked in fear.

"I'll have to talk to him personally." Sundrop stomped over to the metal rope used to transport the animatronic to his abode.

"W-wait! But-Moon was sorry after that-" You held onto the now furious, Sun.

"I'll make sure he's truly sorry, then." Sundrop clipped on the rope to his back.

"Didn't we have a deal to not be mad at him? He's not mean-Moon's just-"

"Just, what? I wasn't programmed to hurt children NOR was Moon. What could undo such a horrible deed? Tell me, Y/N."

"He STAYED AWAY from me after that, OK? Moon learned his lesson and did his best to comfort me... in his own way."

"Grgh... He did?" Sun shook his head in disbelief.

"Mhm! Moon kept on saying how sad and lonely he was everytime. All I know was that he just needed a friend to talk and hug to-"

"Moon... let you hug him?"

"Yeah. W-why?"

"I..." Sun sighed, deciding to stay with you by removing the rope from his back.

"Moon didn't like being touched, so he'd often just flee right away. But, you..." The animatronic softly brushed his fingers on yours.

"You are special enough to be able to hug him."

"Special?"

Sundrop chuckled at your reaction.

"Let me tell you how me and Moon came to be. More accurately."

"Oh."

"Ho-ho! Let's llllllighten up the mood here! Why don't we play truth or dare to tell each other what happened, after all."

"M'kay-"

"Did Sun just say we could play truth or dare?!" A kid yelled from the rainbow Bridge which connected the ball pit to the playground. This was accompanied by the crowd of children cheering behind him.

"You heard nothing, Timmy! Now go and play with the others. It's not Truth-Thursday today!"

"Aww man! I thought I could dare someone-"

"Nope, nope, nope! Now's not the time. Go do play tag if you all are bored."

"But we just did that for the millionth time already-" Timmy groaned.

"Look. Maybe you can come up with a new game this time-"

"We can do truth or dare!" Y/N chimed in the conversation.

"Y/N-didn't we-"

"Pssh-what can go wrong with a game of truth or dare?" You retorted.

"That way, the others won't get bored without the presence of the jolly and great-Sunny!"

"Fine-fine." Sundrop surrendered, he was outnumbered in terms of votes anyway.

"Listen up, everyone! This is a story mode of Truth or Dare-"

"Ooh! I wuv stowies!" A kid shouted from behind.

"Me too!" Another joined in, until the whole group of children were cheering on.

"Haha-I-do, too. I bet that none of you have a better tale than me-" Sundrop challenged the crowd to get their attention.

"Ya think?" You teased him.

"Oh-dearie~I KNOW so."
