The Ending That Brought Us Back Together

Part 6

San Francisco :

When we were out of the building we witnessed more chaos as we saw people screaming and falling. An buildings were falling  apart and crushing people with them as we were running trying to find somewhere safe and secure.

After running for a bit we stopped under this tower like structure that was surprisingly still standing so that we could catch our breath.

"You guys okay."

"Yeah we're fine." Kelly managed to say

" I can't believe Eli was going to really leave me...I knew he was an asshole as soon as he started dating my mom." I said to myself but out loud forgetting that jj was right in front of me .

"Oh sorry." I said apologizing

"Oh no your fine, I would be angry too if I was in your situation ." Kelly said and jj shook her head.

"I need to get somewhere so that I can let my parents know that I'm safe."

" All the cellphones are out, me and jj tried already."

"Well there has to be an electronics store around here somewhere we just have to find it." I said

" Jj does that book you showed me earlier list any businesses." I asked

"This book has everything." she said with a reassuring nod.

After flipping a couple pages we finally found an electronic store near us . It was just a couple of stores down from where we were, so we carefully and cautiously made are way over there.

When we got there everything was scattered everywhere and cords that were up and secured were now hanging uncontrollably.

" okay so anything running on electricity won't work so we have to find some sort of router or push phone." I said to both of them as we pushed through all the stuff

" how do you know all of this." Kelly asked as we continued to look for anything

" My dad works for Seattle's fire rescue." I told her

"Guys I found one." Jj said and me and Kelly went to go see what she found which happened to be a push phone.

"Okay good, you guys stay here while I look for a landline." I told them and they both nodded

When I got one I came straight over to where they were and I hooked the land line up and I found my dads radio number .

"Dad."

"Tuck?."

"Dad I'm okay."

"Oh thank god."he said and then I heard him repeat what I said to someone else

"Dad who are you with?"

"I'm with your mom."

"Let me talk to him." I heard my mom say to him.

"Mom."

"Hey baby, I'm so glad your okay."

"Is Eli okay too." she asked

"Mom...he was going to leave me . He said that he was going to get help because I was stuck in the limo but he was killed before he could get out of the parking lot." I told her and the anger started to build back up in my voice.

" He was going to leave you?."she asked and now I could here the anger resonating in her voice.

"Yeah but thankfully I got lucky and these two sisters I met were worried about me and they came looking for me and they helped me get out of the garage I was stuck in. I'm with them now." I told her but she was still in shock about the whole Eli situation that she didn't respond so dad took over

" Hey tuck were coming to get you okay, where are you now?."

"We're in a electronic store in Chinatown."

"Okay look everything is going to be okay but getting out of there is going to be a nightmare, so I need you guys to get to higher ground , that's the only way we're going to be able to see you."

"Do you remember where we were for Dani's birthday weekend at Coit Tower."

"Um yeah that tall cement nozzle on the hill."

"Okay good , don't stop just go there, that's were will meet okay."

"Okay."

"Stay strong and be safe sweetheart, I love you." I heard my mom say

"Okay, and I love you too."

"Alright love you buddy, stay strong."

"Alright dad, love you too."
