The two boys had been walking together all night. To pass the time, they also had been discussing anything, you name it. Wilbur saw it as a way to finally get close to Quackity, and Quackity saw it as a break from all the stress he'd been experiencing. They were pretty much both loners, since no one trusted Wilbur after what he did to Lmanburg.

Wilbur would tell stories about every single person he knew. When he did, he always looked over at Quackity to see his reaction. Most of the time he would react in shock, sometimes in would be laughter. But it was nice to not see Quackity crying.

Quackity loved hearing the passion in Wilburs voice when he would talk. Even if it was about the stupidest things, like how much he hates anteaters. Wil seemed so heated, so enraged, so infuriated, about even the existence of anteaters. He memorized a full list of facts on why they "blow chunks."

"Number twenty-nine, they suck." Wilbur exclaimed, flailing his arms in the air to express how much they he hated them.

Quackity laughed. "Wil, thats not even a valid reaso-"

"Shhh.. I'm not done yet. Number thirty, anteaters are ugly and bad."

"Again! That doesn't even make sense! Thats opinionated, not a fact."

"Its a worldwide known fact, Big Q! It isn't opinionated at all."

Quackity let out a soft laugh. Wilbur grinned as he saw Quackity smile, genuinely. Despite all that he could be going through.

"Stop laughing." Wilbur himself stifled a laugh. "This is very serious, Big Q."

They reached the familiar roads that lead to Las Nevadas. They stood in front of the fountain, awkwardly shuffling with their feet, not knowing how to say goodbye. Quackity let out a soft sigh.

"Well, uhm, thanks, Wilbur. I appreciate.. it." Quackity found it difficult to display any sort of grateful emotion. He hadn't for a long time.

"Yeah man. No problem. I'm always here!"

Wilbur looked at Quackity, stepping away. He gave him a small salute and a wink as he turned around to finally leave.

"Wait- Will.." Quackity said as he turned around, the soft dim lights reaching Wilburs face, showing a soft smile. His eyebrows were slightly arched upward, and his eyes wrinkling but glimmering.

"One more thing, please-?"

"Yeah, what is it, Q?"

Quackity hesitated as he adjusted his beanie. "Well, I appreciate it very much. But, uhh, we're supposed to be- like- enemies or something. So like, can we, maybe- pretend this never.. happened?"

Wilbur pursed his lips, his face turning into a sad smile as he slightly nodded. But, he understood. They had to act like they hated each other- or something, Wilbur thought.

"Yep. I hate you so much for not letting me into your stupid place and I totally didn't spend a whole night making you feel better. And I hate you sooo sooo much." Wilbur said sarcastically, leaning down to ruffle Quackity's hair gently. They both shared their final laugh together for the night, as Wilbur turned to leave.

Quackity smiled as he saw Wils figure disappear, running off. He fiddled with his beanie again. He was grateful that Wil was so understanding, and kind, and great, and-.. He shook his head, pulling his beanie over his face and groaning. This was his enemy. His nemesis. His foe. He shouldn't be talking so positively about a man that he hated. He just had a horrible argument with his ex-fiancé, he can't move on so quickly.

Quackity clenched his fist as he took a deep breath, exhaling and relaxing his fist. He convinced himself that this was another one of Wilbur's manipulative ruses, as much as he didn't want to believe it. Wilbur was a bad guy. People don't change. Wilbur had destroyed Lmanburg, and he couldn't let Las Nevadas have the same fate.
