Ken headed down the hallway as he was on his way to the lunchroom, turning right he reached the hallway that lead to the double doors of the lunchroom but he stopped when he saw a group of girls surrounding a corner in a circle, he paid them no mind as he walked closer and closer to the doors that are until he heard his name,
"Just do it please."
"Yeah, come on. We promise nothing will happen to you."
He heard the girls reassuring someone,
"Okay, but I don't even know who Kentrell is."
He was lulled by her melodic voice, a voice that sounded as though she was always singing when she spoke, he hadn't noticed but he stood in front of where the now nonexistent circle of girls once stood.
She looked up at him as he loomed over her, the girls were still there standing out of his vision pointing quietly mouthing "that's him"
Clearing his throat, capturing her delicate hand in his grasp, and placing the warm palm against his chest feeling the smooth skin underneath his fingertips,
"I'm Kentrell."
Smiling from ear to ear as he chewed his food happily, without a care of how wildly he chewed, because for the first time he wasn't in his right mind, he kept replaying the encounter in the hallway,
"I'm Kentrell."
Her angelic face faced me, eyes gazing into mine,
"Nice to meet you again, Kentrell."
The giggling behind the two overpowered the thought process he had to continue the conversation but the moment was lost,
She had shaken his hand without even realizing it until she released him and disappeared behind the double doors.
His feeling of want lingered as he desired to feel her palm against his skin once more so that this time he could savor the feeling but he didn't have that as of yet.
All he had was those chance encounters that we're so far and few between that they felt like fever dreams.
But those encounters being so far apart helped to keep those memories strong in his mind.
Replaying them on a loop in his mind he finished up the last bit of his food and dusted off his hands in the napkin given on his tray, as he felt like a panther fleeing the scene as he watched her heading within the midst of the crowd out into the outside relaxing areas.
