After the movie was done, we went out to go grab some real substantial food instead of popcorn. There were a few shops right down the road from Derek's house so we slipped on our shoes and headed out. We stopped at Subway and sat down. Dylan looked at me with his dark brown eyes and smiled. He kept staring.
"What?" I said with a giggle.
"Oh nothing" he said suddenly snapped out of his gaze.
"Well it sure is something" I said trying to be sassy.
"It's nothing really."
I started thinking as I ate my sandwich. I was snapped out of my abyss by Derek.
"We should probably start walking back. It's getting a little late."
"OMG can we sleep over? You could drive out to Em's house so we can grab our stuff and text our family's then come back." Lydia glanced at me to make sure it was okay with me and I shrugged willingly in response.
"Okay!" Derek said, obviously happy about the arrangement.
As we started walking back, I realized that Dylan had been very quit. Then all the sudden he spoke.
"I'm sorry about the mall yesterday"
"Why sorry?"
"I just randomly blurted out all these complements and I just made it awkward."
"Dylan," I let out a tiny sigh "it's fine. I'm not really ready for a relationship, seeing how I broke up with my boyfriend yesterday. But I'm guessing your not either."
He gave me a look that said, thanks and said
"Your right. I'm not ready. I got caught up in the moment. But that doesn't mean those things I said weren't true."
