The sun was bright, not a cloud in the sky. As a boy woke up from his slumber.
(Y/n): *Yawn* Ah fuck.
Realizing the day has just started, only one thought plagued his mind.
(Y/n): *Groans* Aww I don't want to go to school.
He turned over face down on his bed, and starts banging his head on the pillow.
(Y/n): *Sigh* Ha...
He does nothing for a while, internally arguing with himself.
(Y/n): Fine.
He gets up, gets ready, and heads to school. Which for some reason is 30 minutes away, so he gets to sit and listen to music for the ride. As he listens to his music the sunlight brightens up the car more showing that said boy was (S/c), had (E/c), and had (H/l) (H/c). He was wearing a grey hoodie, black shirt, dark grey sweatpants, and black shoes.
Although like all good things he couldn't sit and relax to his music forever ad they arrive to school.
(M/n): Alright (Y/n), I'll pick you up after school.
His mother says. She was always a kind person, but that's not to say she was a push over. The family has a habit of being strong willed, even if it's for something stupid.
(Y/n): Ok, bye Ma.
He smiles and waves to his Mom.
(Y/n): I love you.
(M/c): I love you too.
She then drives off leaving him to go into his school. It wasn't exactly a nice one, but it was miles better than what he was used to. The school went through tons of improvements while he was here, and it was all about to end. The school looks good, but the students are wild. But nothing he hasn't already seen before, just same ole stuff. The "same" meaning kids gossiping, fighting, hanging around, and sometimes just having fun. He loved this somewhat chaotic life, of course it had it's downfalls. Life wasn't exactly kind to him. Being 5'8'', stalky, and less then stellar looks, he wasn't popular nor was he a loser, he was just weird. Him being the smartest, dumbest, anxious, and outgoing contradiction you'll ever meet. Long story short; confusing.
The day went one hanging with friends, being quiet, reading cursed fanfics, being an idiot, and getting through class relatively easily was just normal for him.
It wouldn't be his normal for long. He was graduating soon. A big celebration is to be had, but he had no idea what to do. His future was uncertain and always changing, plans were never executed, and reality just seemed to crumble up around him each day. Like he was in a dream observing life through another's eyes. A existential dread filled him more and more as time went on. It has gotten so bad that he would cry.
That wouldn't matter soon. The thought of life after death, or if there even was a life to began with.
The day has come the last day of school, the kids are having fun, celebrating the end of school, playing pranks on faculty, and messing around. Until the time was nigh.
An alarm was set off kids were running and panicking as loud shots were heard through the halls, and (Y/n) was the closest to the assailant.
Wasting no time he ran the opposite direction hoping to get away the shots getting louder, closer, he turns left and right, the school on lockdown people hiding, he couldn't keep running. An exit was near, he turned the corner to leave but found a crowd of kids locked in. The group was cornered and the assailant caught up. Looking at the group he brandished his gun once more and unloaded into the screaming crowd. (Y/n) caught in the crossfire, gunned down like an animal.
.
.
.
The screaming stopped, the victims riddled with bullet holes. If they weren't already dead, they were bleeding out, as such the case with (Y/n).
Laying on the floor bleeding, the boy felt nothing. No sadness, no pain, just the coldness of blood loss and the warmth of his blood spreading around him, covering him.
As he died he thought about how terrible life was, how humanity would never evolve past violence, how he would never experience life to it's fullest, and how he could never see his family again. Then with his last inch of life he thought about what would happen once he dies. If anything he hoped he would be forever dreaming a wonderful dream. To never realize he was ever conscious, to finally find peace within himself.
However he wouldn't find out now. His confusing and guess work would only grow as he finds himself surrounded by a glowing blue light, in a dark place with three unknown people around him. One of them having angelic wings.
