3rd POV

It's the same day they entered into the guild only an hour or so later. (Y/n), Kazuma, and Aqua are having a talk about their money situation, sitting at their previous table. Having explored the different ways of making money.

Kazuma: So, what have you found?

Aqua: I found a shop owner looking for help as well as a couple of fishermen, but you'll need experience for both of them.

(Y/n): There are a lot of shops that need help but none that have the presets we have, since we have none.

Kazuma: I only found a construction job, it doesn't require experience so we're good on that end, we just have to do heavy labor.

Aqua: Aww that sounds hard.

(Y/n): It is hard work, it requires you to work in heat and lift heavy objects, but the pay is good and worth it from what I heard.

Kazuma: Alright get ready to pick a job to do until we have enough money to do actual quests.

(Y/n): Got it.

Aqua: Okay.

From there they split off, well not really, (Y/n) split off. Kazuma and Aqua were going to do construction work. (Y/n) was planning something different however.

Timeskip

His plan was a little complicated and he'd have to work hard to make it work. He planned to help out with the leather worker since he loved to work with his hands. However the leather worker needed someone to get leather for him, and (Y/n) isn't a seasoned hunter nor does he have equipment to help. So, he decided if he could strike a deal with the blacksmith he could get a weapon to help. Which is why he's at the leather shop right now called Hide's Leather Shop.

(Y/n): 'That's an oldy fitting name.'

He opened the door hoping he wouldn't mess this up. Luckily for him it's empty.

(Y/n): U-Um, excuse me.

He said gaining the attention of the leather worker framing the skin of a cow. The man looked to be in his 40s, 6 feet tall, with short chestnut brown hair, round glasses, deeply tanned skin, and a bit of wrinkles on his face.

Leather worker: Yeah kid, what do you need? I'm in the middle of framing here so make it quick.

His voice was somewhat gruff and held frustration, kinda like a weak accented scot.

(Y/n): I-I heard you needed h-help with the leather o-or something.

The leather worker stopped and looked at (Y/n) for a second.

Leather worker: Uh, yeah. I need someone to help get the skin off some of the animals. Winter is coming and even though we have magic, it doesn't make the process any easier, especially since most of the leather craze will come back because of previous leather finally wearing out. I got a whole team of hunters out there and yet they keep coming back with less and less hide. All because of these stupid poacher and damn frogs killing all our potential stock! I even asked adventurers and put up quests but these idiots never follow my instructions and cut the hide up into small pieces and expect me to give them the money for nothing but cheese with too many wholes in it to eat! I mean, do they get shields with the whole middle of it missing! NO! So why do they think giving me scraps is any good!

The leather worker stopped for a second and finally looked back at (Y/n) only to see him standing there nervously.

Leather worker: Ah, sorry you had to hear that kid. I sometimes rant about my problems when no ones around, you just got me at a...less then good time, sorry.
