I looked at my self in the mirror and executed my daily ritual before school: stare at my imperfections, makeup, hair, listen to depressing music. After all that I stared at myself. This is the girl everyone knew. Sammy Martinez 17 a junior in high school an outcast yet, popular amongst her peers. I was talked about but, never approached. After All, I was aloof and detached from the kids at my school they all annoyed the hell out of me except, for a few of course. I suppose I was just a walking contradiction. Moments later, my phone buzzed and it was my cue to leave. I locked the door and saw becca in her car looking at me with tired eyes. I greeted her with a smile. I opened the door to find becca with a bag of doughnuts in her hands. "Really", I gestured. "What", she questioned. I was trying to eat healthier but, we both knew that wasn't going to last long. Either way she shouldn't be tempting me. "You're a horrible friend you know that", I said.
"Why because, I love you and know you?, sheesh I swear you don't know how to say THANK YOU",
"Thanks", I said automatically. She pushed me and blasted the radio as I laughed and happily began eating my doughnut. When we drove to school we typically spoke of yesterdays gossip and talk crap about people's decision making skills. Within a few minutes we entered the school gates, I watched as the school was bustling with students, freshman kids carrying their oversized backpacks, seniors making the most of every moment by acting like 5 year olds. Becca parked and I sighed, she gave me a looked indicating she felt the same. We prepared ourselves to walk along the parking lot. The parking lot was like a runway, everyone whispers and watches its so stupid but, I admit I stare at people because, humans are such curious creatures.
