" oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend its just that your last name is so.....is so.....", Jordan said as her voice quickly trailed away. I kept my eyes to the floor this was a horrible situation to be in.
"so what?" he questioned. Jordan was frazzled the way he said it sounded so condescending and harsh. She struggled to find words and It pained me to see her in such a bewildered state.
"foreign", Tyler chimed. Skyler averted his attention away from Jordan and met Tyler's eyes with an icy bone-snapping glare. Jordan shot Becca a look of relief, and Becca simply nodded.
" Foreign. Yes, but, quite unique and the name exudes power don't you think?", He questioned with a rather, self-entitled tone. Tyler pondered this and nonchalantly said."well, when you put it that way it sounds, nope it still sounds.... foreign." Becca giggled and Jordan was trying incredibly hard to fight back her laugh. I slowly raised my head to meet my surroundings Skyler was not amused. He intensely stared at Tyler and Tyler just returned the gaze in a very mocking way. Sensing the tension brewing James quickly spoke, "anyways, Skyler and I have had the past 4 classes together and he doesn't have 5th period with me and I was just wondering if you guys had 5th period English next with Mr. Jackson?".
"I do" I remarked, everyone looked at me with a silent stare and I didn't understand why, I was simply stating a fact.
"ahh, so she speaks", James stated with an evasive smile. I glanced at him and noticed that he was grinning...at me, It startled me slightly because, his smile gave me a profound nostalgic feeling and I caught myself slipping into the past.
I tried to respond but, I barely muttered a word " y-yeah". His smile faded away slowly and as a result my heart sank deeper than the floor itself,
I pursed my lips and began mechanically pulling out the grass from the floor.
"well Skyler, Sammy will help you out kay, You'll be fine, she's pretty great". I looked up and I couldn't possibly describe what I felt. It was like someone shot me with 2 years worth of True happiness. James walked away And quickly looked back at me. You might not understand why he affects me so much but, neither do I, all I can say is that I love him more than anyone could possibly understand.
