Kate's pov

the loft was silent when i walked in. only two people in there. peter and yelena were talking quietly about peter's new video game he got for christmas. i watched them silently from the corner. well more specifically, i watched yelena. even in the mornings when her hair was all messy, she still managed to look hotter than ever.

'are you just going to stand over there or are you going to sit with us?' yelena asked calmly as she patter the seat next to her, gesturing me to sit down

'sorry' i say quietly as i sit down 'i was just lost in thought'

'what we're you thinking about?' yelena asked smugly as a small smirk

'oh uh... nothing' i said quietly, blushing redder than a tomato

yelena let out a 'hmm' as she continues on with her conversation with peter like nothing happened. yelena has always been a flirt. sometime i would catch her staring at me or my lips or thighs but neither of us have made a move toward each other. i always think i should make a move but i never know if it's the right time or not. i want to do it now, but peter is here. who am i kidding, she doesn't like me. she probably never will. i'm not going to make a move on her because why would she ever like a girl like me?

'stop overthinking it kate' a voice behind me says and i turn around briskly to see wanda standing there 'i know what your thinking and don't overthink it'

'what are you talking about?' i ask innocently, glancing over at yelena

'i'm not an idiot' wanda chuckles as yelena and peter quiet down to hear pour conversation 'trust your insticts'

what if she doesn't like me like that? i ask myself, knowing wanda is reading my mind

'it's her loss then' wanda smirks

'i'm not doing it' i say firmly 'not now and probably not ever'

'then it's your loss' wanda chuckles 'peter, yelena do u guys want orange juice and pancakes?'

'yes!' they both say as they sit at the barstools in the kitchen, leaving one empty barstool for me. right next to yelena. great...

i sit down quietly and i can feel yelena glance over at me. i can always feel her looking at me. maybe i should look back. i'm going to do it! before i could do anything to stop myself i turn my head toward her making heavy eye contact

'oh uh hey' she says in her thick russian accent

'hi' i say quickly and quietly, not knowing i'm still staring into her eyes

'enjoying the view?' yelena chuckles as i blush hard, looking away slowly

'sorry' i say, lightly chuckling along with her

Yelena's pov

damn she's hot. she doesn't like me i can tell but only if she knew how i felt. i wish i could make a move on her, but everyone knows that won't happen. she'll never like me. she'll never like a murderer. a hot girl like her. hell she probably doesn't even like girls. she's probably straight. god i hope not

'yelena' wanda says lightly 'stop it'

damn that mind reading redhead. i need her to shut up sometimes. just stop reading my mind for one goddamn second

'i'll stop' wanda chuckles

'what?' kate asks in a confused tone

'nothing' i say briskly as kate stares at me for a little before returning back to her phone.
