Deku sat quietly on his bed, some Lofi music he'd found on YouTube was blasting in his earphones, a week had already gone by of winter break, it was just going so fast. Deku fidgeted with his hands as he turned off the music and took his headphones off.

Knock, knock, knock!

Someone was knocking? He went to the door of his dorm to see a nice, sealed envelope, that seemed to be slid under his door. He noticed It was covered with pink bright stickers as he picked it up,

"Probably from one of the girls, wishing me a merry Christmas." He thought, opening the letter, expecting a:

"Hi! Merry Christmas! Blah blah blah"
Or a corny joke on a store-bought card like
"Why did no one bid for Blitzen and Rudolph on eBay? They didn't want two-deer!"

He went to his drawers to get some scissors and carefully cut the sticker so he could save the paper used for the envelope.

Inside was a bright pink card, colored with highlighters and fancy markers, it read:

Bored over winter break! Well you don't have to be anymore!
I, Mina, am hosting a pre-party party THIS SUNDAY! The following are the requirements.
-Must bring your date that your taking to the formal! If you have one of course.
-Don't overdress, this is a pre-party party.
-And don't underdress either!
-You gotta bring food, I'm broke. <3

THATS IT! Hope to see your there
XoXo, Mina.

Shit...
She really didn't need to sign her name at the bottom, Deku could just tell from the glow markers and fancy calligraphy, it's an obvious invitation from Mina,  and Deku knew she just wants to know everyone's date without being so... Upfront. And it seems so far it wasn't really working.

Deku squeezed the paper in his hand anxiously. Because that wasn't even close to the real problem! Who was he gonna bring? He knows Mina.
"If I bring Bakugo she'll think I like... Like him or something."

That's not true, right?..

Deku shook the thought from his head, on the contrary, he just... Could not go? Deku didn't prefer parties, plus he wanted to spend winter break with his family. Hey, where would it be anyway? Maybe he could just stop by and-

ITS IN THE 1A DORM ROOM QUARTERS?!

Jeez, even if he didn't go, someone was bound to go look for him anyways.
"I mean if I just..."
"Ugh! What if i-"
"I'm not even supposed to-... hm?"

Deku's phone chimed from over on his bed, he walked over and sat down, looking at who texted him.

"Did you get that invitation from Mina too?"

It was Bakugo..? Why would he... care? "Obviously Bakugo wouldn't wanna go with me to the 'pre-party party'" Deku thought, but the next text sent made him think again.

"It said to bring our dates, right? So...." The text left a cliffhanger, but Bakugo quickly followed up with something surprising.

"Are you going?"
