Bakugou bolted upright in his bed at eight o'clock. Shit. His school had already started, he was late, why didn't his parents wake him? Oh right, a business trip in the middle of his school year, typical. He ran around the house pulling out his clothes quickly before leaving, he had a bad feeling about today.Yep, the day was absolutely horrible, Katsuki knew he should've stayed inside, at home, comfortable and away from people. He kicked a can in agitation, awareness deep in the recesses of his mind as he was swallowed by thoughts. His so-called friends that were behind him ran as soon as the disgusting green sludge shot up at Katsuki's unaware frame. Katsuki was going to commit murder. That was all that ran through his mind as the sludge found it fitting to try to kill him in broad daylight. Katsuki was going to commit murder. He thought again as he watched so called grown ups and heroes stand watching him be suffocated, watching his quirk go off sporadically. Katsuki was going to commit murder, with his last breath before this shit took it. He thought as stupid Deku was the one to try to help him, and suddenly All Might was there. Katsuki was going to commit murder. He thought as his body went completely still, panic draining from his body and eyes frosting over coldly and holding his breath, or.. Well...whatever breath he had left, which wasn't much.
He made eye contact with Leo who had only now appeared on the scene, his eyes widening in shock as he ran forward without a thought, gloves activating on his hands as he makes it to the scene faster than All Might could and shocking the sludge precisely so that Katsuki wouldn't be hurt, stunning it. Katsuki's body dropped to the floor, but he couldn't feel it, he couldn't feel anything, hear anything, he only registered anger at the stupid heroes who hadn't displayed an ounce of heroicness until a middle schooler decided to throw his life to the curb, for his childhood bully no less, someone who tormented him when he was way younger. Leo made sure to stay in Katsuki's line of sight as he touched him, snapping Katsuki back into his mind quickly and hot wiring his body into motion. It took a glance in the sludge's direction, he saw the stupid thing move, looking at Deku and then lunging for the foolish boy. Instinct. Instinct was what drove Katsuki's body into action as he pushed Deku out of the way. He quickly slid on his gloves with ease, effortlessly and clapped them together once to turn them on.
"Together, so that the dirt bag All Might or somebody can take credit." Katsuki told Leo, sliding into a comfortable battle position.
"Together." Leo nodded, replicating Katsuki's stance.
Three hits is what they decided on. Quirkless, but using weapons. Leo dealt the last blow that immobilized the sludge while making sure that none of it was able to get away. Katsuki turned to the gawking audience and looked All Might in the eyes before nudging his head in the direction of the sludge and glowering at the man to do his job. Wordlessly, the two boys bumped fists and proceeded to speed walk the hell out of that place before everything caught up to the gawkers that were present.
"You're okay right? That piece of shit didn't hurt you in any way right?" Leo asked Bakugou, concern evident in his tone even though his face stayed emotionless.
"I'm okay, alive, though I'm thinking that I'll sleep with y'all tonight or work on the plans that are hatching inside of my head." Katsuki muttered while walking, fiddling with his wrist absentmindedly.
Leo paused and looked at the wrist, the wrist that was swollen, the wrist that was injured, and immediately broke out into brotherly panic, his clean slate face breaking and showing raw emotion as he fretted over Katsuki's well-being. Katsuki just blinked as he looked at his wrist, Huh....when did that happen? Indeed, Katsuki's radar for pain was almost non-existent, he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, just that it was slightly uncomfortable. Leo rushed him to the group's home, fretting all the way until he got Lea to fix Katsuki up. Katsuki found it fairly amusing that the ever blank-faced Leo was fretting so much over him but he also found it highly endearing.
