My brothers wedding was beautiful. It was full of vibrant colors like the love they have for each other. The interactions between Aziz and I weren't awkward so far. But the setting also helped because we both felt a bit nostalgic in a high school gym. I walked into that oh so familiar bathroom and hoped the writing on the wall was gone but it was still there. I ran my hand on it lightly and smiled. I scurried for the pen I always carry around just in case I come up with an idea for my writing. I wrote something down and left the restroom quickly. I found Aziz who was overly excited about a blonde girl sitting a few tables away with her back facing us. "Shit" I mumbled to myself as her scent hit me like a truck. "What?" Aziz asked and I quickly grabbed her hand and led her out of the room. "My ex is here. You need to do me a solid and act like we're in love" I said and she laughed. "Okay sweetheart, who's your ex?" She asked peeking into the room. "Blonde, blue eyes" I said casually and the color left her face. "Your ex is fucking Billie Eilish? How the hell am I going to compete with that" she asked but I cut her off by pulling her back inside.

It was so packed that we were doing great avoiding each other. I walked into the restroom and splashed some water on my sweaty hands. The familiar scent walked in and I froze. She cleared her throat and washed her hands next to me. "Moved on I see" she said with a tone of anger and I looked at her super confused. "You have no place to speak" I said and she laughed lightly and looked at me. "Isn't it funny how shit works out?" She mumbled and I only ignored her and walked out of the restroom. I found the taller girl in a lonely hallway and connected our lips harshly. "If I let this proceed please don't write a book about me" she mumbled against my lips and I laughed before pulling her outside.

It is funny how shit works out.
