Chapter 8.
8th time, September 19, 2021
At Whistle General Hospital.
Siyeon took Qri for an ultrasound. Qri 2 months ago married a rich handsome guy named Im Jaebeom, the two had a grand wedding and a sweet honeymoon, after only 1 month Qri got pregnant.
Today, brother-in-law Im was busy with unexpected work, so Siyeon took his place to take Qri for a prenatal check-up. While waiting Siyeon wandered around the hospital corridor and caught sight of a familiar figure coming down the stairs.
It's Kim JiU.
- JiU? – Siyeon called out, JiU turned around and was surprised. Siyeon and JiU know each other through Bora and only talk to each other a few times during their outings. Up to this point, it can be said that the two are clearly strangers, but Siyeon doesn't understand why she calls JiU like that….
- Hey Siyeon, what are you doing here?
- I took my sister for an ultrasound, and you, why are you here?
- Well… actually….SuA showed signs of dehydration this morning, so she is currently hospitalized for a checkup.
- What?
Siyeon asked JiU for directions and she went to the 5th floor, which is the place for patient's room. JiU went somewhere, maybe downstairs to do some paperwork, and Siyeon stood outside the door of Bora's hospital room. Siyeon looks inside through the glass. Bora is being infused with seawater and she is already asleep.
It must have been due to not drinking enough water, or working too hard……
Because Siyeon wanted to stay here longer, Siyeon took the initiative to text Qri, telling Qri to book the car home by herself.
Once again, Siyeon abandoned her sister for Kim Bora. Qri knows how much she loves Bora, so Qri won't complain. Qri helped her many times when she was forced by Mr. and Mrs. Lee to go on a date with Minkyu, or when they talked about girls around her.
Siyeon is not a person who likes to make friends from all over the world, so she only has a few close friends, including Yoohyeon, her younger sister from the same music department. Since breaking up with Bora, she didn't show that she loved anyone deeply, so Mr and Mrs. Lee kept babbling in her ear, telling her to meet Minkyu more.
Siyeon only considers Minkyu as a friend, she's been like that since kindergarten, she can't fall in love with him, and with her steadfast attitude, Minkyu is also reasonable and doesn't go overboard. Siyeon also explicitly told Mr. and Mrs. Lee that she would not be able to love him, no matter how idealistic he was.
But mother Lee is still stubborn and thinks that Siyeon needs more time to get things right.
How much time does she need? 10 years? Or 20 years?
Even if 30 years passed, she would still only love Kim Bora. It has been 6 years since breaking up with Bora, her feelings have not diminished for a second, she still loves Bora completely.
But this life probably doesn't want to smile at her, because the person she loves deeply, no longer loves her, even loved someone else.
8 months ago, Siyeon accidentally met Bora at Incheon airport, it was almost 1am midnight. The time has just entered the new year. Having met Bora in the new year, it seems that Siyeon has started the new year very smoothly.
But it's really not going so well, Kim Bora has a new lover….
