It had been 3 months with Izuku and Izumi using Mandalay's Mind Meld to bounce each other's ideas off one another. [Using Mandalay to reactivate since Izuku couldn't pull enough strings for the better version]
He could send tiny messages with Whisper but that was the capacity of his current ability to do so.
Apparently Izumi was a "Mixed" so she wasn't very liked in the floating city she lived in. She didn't hold her fathers last name due to being born a bastard child but her father had adopted her after her mother 'died'.
Izumi swore she was in another dimension and somehow cracked something but couldn't write it down.
It was 6 months later when Izuku had finally taught Izumi string Manipulation enough for her to try to open the portal.

She started taking deep breaths. She had finally got somewhere!
"Portal is stable enough." Izuku said.
"Brother!" Izumi said as she had jumped through.
The two hugged.
"I must see this world! You must see New Colombia!" Izumi said "Oh my we have so much I wanna show you! Theres so much I wanna see!"
"We should work on getting the portals into a stable state." Izuku said "If we are going back and forth it will cause problems if one of us gets trapped."
Izumi nodded and started exchanging notes.

When he walked into the house he blinked.
A green haired girl was getting her nails painted by his sons girlfriend.
"Boy?" AFO asked.
"Hey dad." Izuku said walking in with a box of stuff from the hall
AFO blinked then turned to Izumi "Excuse me sweetie may I ask who In the ever loving fuck are you?"
"My names Izumi Comstock." She said.
"Shape-shifting?" AFO asked.

AFO blinked then took a deep breath. "How long are you staying here?"
"Oh I can go home whenever we're just working on making a reliable portal for traveling." Izumi said.
"If I could find a teleportation quirk it could make it so much easier." Izuku said.
"I might know a guy." AFO said.
"So these quirks function much like vigors?" Izumi said.
AFO burped up a small flame and she went Apeshit.
"What are Vigors?"
Izumi reached into her pocket and pulled out a bottle that looked like a overpriced liquor bottle.
