My mother had just sent me on a quick shopping trip so I could buy a few things for dinner. She kind of rushed me out a bit, which was a bit strange, but I enjoyed the walk to the store. It was pretty with the flowers blooming and the sun shining. It was nice to relax when I was always in high stress situations. The main one being school and being bullied all the time. It was good to just finally breathe. That immediately ended once I had gotten to the store. Of course, a large group of teens my age were at the front door to where I needed to be. This would've been fine if it wasn't the horrible kids. I tried to keep my head down but as I tried to slip past them, one of them stopped me in my tracks and pushed me from the door. "Oh look who it is! (y/n)! Nice to see you." The leader of the group said with a condescending smirk. I rolled my eyes.

"What do you guys want? I'm really not in the mood today." I said, crossing my arms. "Aww is that really how you greet pals?" One smirked. "Oh my god, shut up. Honestly y'all are so annoying. I'm just tryna buy some stuff and go, bro, not stand here and have you orangutan looking asses bug me." I tried to push past but I don't think they were too happy about what I said because the leader of the group of monkeys pushed me. I'd had enough by that point, and I was quick to anger, so I just punched them. Their group gasped and all came at me. It was a huge brawl. Eventually after me beating some of their asses, I guess a store clerk called the police because suddenly I was in handcuffs and being pushed into a police car.

"Hello again, (Y/N)." The officer who was driving the car said to me. "Hi again, Dan." I knew the officer because getting into huge fights wasn't unusual for me. "What was this one about then?" He asked. "It doesn't matter, does it?" I said, huffing and crossing my arms, and looking out the window. "You can't keep getting into fights (Y/N), you're making your mother worry." I rolled my eyes. "She doesn't care. Also the fights aren't even my fault. Well, this time wasn't anyways. They asked for it." Dan sighed. "You knocked one of them out and broke another's nose."

"Well his nose shouldn't have been in the way!" Dan rolled his eyes this time. "(Y/N) I'm taking you home this time. I'll let you off with a warning because I worry for you, but if it happens ONE MORE TIME, it'll be a major punishment." I continued to stare out the window. "Yeah yeah, whatever."

We eventually reached my house and my mother rushed out the door as soon as she saw my bloody and bruised face. She sent me inside and I ran to my room. I heard her apologising to Dan again. I took my headphones and blared music so I couldn't even hear my own thoughts.

A couple of hours later, my mother entered my room and sat down on the end of my bed. She took off my headphones gently and I sat up to face her. We sat in silence for a few seconds before she finally spoke. "(Y/N), sweetheart, I think it would be best if you stayed with your aunt in Columbia for a while, just to get a bit of a break, you know?" I shrugged. "okay, when are we leaving?" I asked. "About that... It'll just be you going." She sighed. "What!? Why!? Are you that sick of me you have to send me away to stay with family I've met maybe once!?" I angrily said, throwing my hands in the air in frustration. "I think it will be good for you. A nice learning experience!" My mother said reaching for my face. I stood up away from her hand and sighed. "You really want rid of me? Whatever. Ill start packing. When am I leaving?" I asked, trying not to cry. She stood up. "You're flight is in two days. Go have some sleep and Ill see you tomorrow." She walked out, dejected.

I was very upset that my mother wanted to throw me out to live with other family members so I hardly spoke to her the whole time. I maybe saw her a few times when eating but I never really said anything to her. It eventually came to the day of the flight and she dropped me off at the airport. "Im going to miss you so much, (Y/N)!" She said, handing me my bags, dispirited. "Uh huh. Sure you will. I'm going to miss my flight if I'm not fast so I have to go. Love you , bye." I started to walk. I think I heard a sigh of relief from her because she knew I still love her, because she immediately said it back. I will miss her. Of course I will, she's my mother for goodness sake, but I still feel a bit of betrayal. I shook away the thoughts and went through the airport.
