The Boy Next Door

•Chapter 5•

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I had to wake up at 6 because I had school. It is my first day and I am terrified.

I pull the covers off and got out of bed. I am so tired I barely got any sleep because of how scared I was for school.

I hopped in the shower I wash my hair and shave I got out and put my robe on. I did my skincare and also my makeup well just masscara and chapstick. I blow dry my hair then I curled it.

I went to my closet and I picked out my outfit last night so that way I didn't have to worry about it in the morning.

I pick and black tank top and ripped jeans. Since it was to cold for just a tank top I grabbed a cover up it was a cream color and also fuzzy. Then I grabbed my black beanie.

Faith's outfit:

I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs. Everyone was still sleeping so I had to be quiet. I got a waffle out of the freezer and put it in the toaster. I made coffee and got my water bottle for school. My waffle was done and so was my coffee.

I drank my coffee as fast as possible and ate my waffle. I left a note for Neera just in case she forgot I had school.

I went outside to see Carter's car driving by and heading out of the neighborhood. I ran to my car it was all black like Carter's but not as fancy.

Faith's car:

I got in my car and put my seatbelt on. I drove to the school. Luckily it was close to were I live.

I pulled in the school and that is when I started shaking I saw so many people staring at my car luckily I had tinted windows so no one saw me freaking out.

I parked my car. Oh. Boy this is going to be along day. Breathe Faith breathe. I open my door but no one saw my face cuz I quickly put head in the car so I could grab my bag. Before I close the door I breathed in and out. I closed my door and started walking. Everyone was staring and I was freaking out I had so many questions in my head.

I started shaking but I didn't know. All the sudden I felt a hand around mine and I immediately knew who it was.

Carter

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding in until now. "Breathe darling. It's okay I'm here now." I nodded and we headed to the office

There was a middle age man at the front desk he smile and I smile at him back. "What can I do for you two today." Carter spoke for me because he knew how scared I was.

"She new to this school." He said with a nice calm voice. "Ah your Faith Kingdom!" I nodded "Okay so here is your schedule. I hope you love our school. Welcome To Mountain City High!" I smiled and nodded.

Carter and I look over my schedule. "Art?" Carter sounded confused. I remember I didn't tell him that I love to paint oops. "Yeah I love to paint it calms me down." Carter looked surprised but went with it.

We walk to the main hall. We walk a little when I heard an unfamiliar voice. "AY CARTER!" the guy yelled from behind us. We stop and turn around. "Hey Ace." Ace? "Hey" he paused and looked at me with shock.

"Carter Anderson has a girl?"

"She not my girlfriend."

"Your hanging around with another person other than us and she a girl of course I'm going to think you have girlfriend." I look at Carter with confusion. "Let's just say I don't like people that much okay love." I nodded "Are y'all sure you aren't dating because y'all would be a cute ass couple." Ace said with a smirk on his face.

I looked at Carter " spend time with your weird friend." Ace looked offended. "I am not weird!" Me and Carter look at him. Cater turn back to me and looked into my eyes "but I don't want to leave you alone in this big ass school." I smiled "someone going to give me a tour. I'll be fine. I promise." He nodded and kissed me on the forehead. We said our goodbyes and I started to walk away when I heard Ace say. "OOOOOO someone has a crushhhhhhhh." I blushed and covered my face with my hair

"I will hit you." I heard Carter and I laugh to myself

I tried to find my way to the library but I couldn't find. I should have ask Carter. I was going to the library so I could meet my tour guide. But I couldn't find it. I found Carter again with Ace and another dude I wanted to go over there and ask him but I was scared. But my legs said otherwise cuz the next thing I knew I was right in front of Carter.

He looked at me confused then he finally asked what I needed." Darling do you need something." I nodded "Do you know by chance where the library is?" He nodded " can you take me there please."

"Yeah sure why do you need to go there?" I signed "Because that's where my tour guide is and well I was going to ask you before I left but I forgot."

He nodded. He said to his friends that he would catch up with them later. They just nodded and look at Carter weird. He rolled his eyes and we started going to where the library was. I try my best to take note of the turns so that way I can go on my own.

We finally make it there. Carter opened the door and it was beautiful. "Woah." Carter laugh "If you need anything thing and mean anything call me or text me." He put his hand out so I could give him my phone and I did.

He put his phone number in and texted it to make sure it would go through. It made me happy that I finally had his number. "Thank you!" I hugged him and he hugged me. He pull away and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I wave at him. And he left. I look around the library when a girl about my age stop me. "Are you Faith Kingdom?" I looked at her and smile she smiled back "Yes I am." She hugged me I got confused but hugged her back. "OH you don't know my name shit. Sorry. The names is Diana.. Diana Johnson."

"Okay." I smiled at her. "So are you going to show me around?"

"Oh yea. You see about that I forgot about a lot these class. So it will be a learning experience for the both eh."

I laugh and so did she. I can tell me and her are going to be besties.
