M/n couldn't help but feel a sick knot form in his stomach once he awoke. A recurring pattern of nausea whenever something was about to go terribly wrong, a headache the boy desperately wanted to avoid. Yet, here he sat with the rest of the children during breakfast, not doing a thing about it. M/n took a bite of meat off his plate, gazing around the room in any hopes of calming his anxieties.
Ray elbowed the h/c boy's side and raised a brow before whispering, "It should all go to plan, if it doesn't then I have a back one. Chill out." M/n gave a weak smile and continue to eat. The plan had to succeed, no matter what.
The group of 6 had decided to meet up for one last run down. Emma bit her lip as she looked outside the room's window, "I haven't seen Sister Krone all morning; do you think something tipped her off?" Norman hummed and leaned against the door.
"Not that I'm aware of," His blue eyes gazed across the room before locking eye contact with a certain e/c-eyed boy, "M/n! Instead of distracting Krone, try to figure out where she's at. She's fast, but her room's window is right near Ray's area. Don, Gilda, be on the lookout." The aforementioned duo nodded before walking out of the room to take a position.
M/n nodded and began to walk out the door before being stopped by a tug on his uniform. The h/c boy barely had anytime to react before being pulled into a hug by Ray, "Stay... stay safe. Mom is still a threat." Ray clutched the boy's clothing, remembering the threat mentioned by mother a few days prior.
Emma glanced at Norman with a raised brow, "You seein' what I'm seein'?" she mouthed. Norman smiled and wrapped his arms around the two. "Don't leave us out!" he teased, though the way he tightened slightly on Ray's side made the black-haired boy doubt it.
"Yay! Pre-celebratory hug!" Emma yelled as she jumped onto the trio, pulling them into an even larger hug. M/n huffed as he buried his face into his arms. If the others saw a blush form on his face, they didn't mention it.
M/n hummed as he peaked into the last arts and crafts room, 'Not here either, where could she be?' He thought to himself as he walked down to the first floor, planning to meet up with Gilda and Don; however, a familiar violet-eyed figure caught his eye. Isabella smiled from across the dinner room before walking out the back entrance. 'Where's...'
The h/c boy flinched as a rush of energy hit him. He scrambled to the upper floors, noticing loud banging and yelling. "...Ray? What- what happened?"
"M/n!" Ray sounded relieved, "Go to the window and do the signal! Mom knows the plan, and Norman and Emma are in danger!" M/n nodded and rushed to the sick room's window, but it was too late. Isabella could be seen heading into the forest, pocket watch in hand.
"Ray? M/n?" M/n's head quickly snapped around. "...Don! Ray's trapped in the room down the hall. Can you-" The tan boy nodded, already knowing what to do.
"Go with Gilda and see if you can catchup with Mom! We'll meet you there." M/n let out a huff of agreement and ran downstairs. Gilda was already at the door with a worried expression, the child she had in her arms sleeping peacefully.
"...we need to go!" The h/c boy was already feeling a premonition of exhaustion, not being use to moving so much back-to-back. Gilda nodded and placed down Anna, running right after m/n.
It seemed like every tree and bush was trying to stop them from reaching the wall. M/n almost collapsed when jumping the fence. "Are you okay" Gilda worriedly asked. The boy's Adams apple bobbed as he took a gulp of air. M/n's legs shook as he stood up once more, "...i'm- i'm good. Keep going." The girl obviously wanted the other to rest, but still continued on.
By the time they made it, they were too late to stop anything. M/n felt lightheaded as he watch the woman that cared for them since they could walk, break Emma's leg. Gilda and Norman didn't seem to fair quiet well, either, once she screamed. M/n stumbled away in horror bumping into Don, who had just arrived with Ray.
"Shh, you're going to be okay," Isabella ran her fingers through Emma's hair, "Don't cry, it doesn't hurt as much as you think. This is exactly why I told you to give up. Now look at you, but don't worry. Mama's here." Norman glared at the woman's condescending words.
"You all don't realize how very special you all are. A special meal, for a special one to eat. My highest quality goods." Isabella grabbed a nearby stick and wrapped it around the girl's broken leg, whispering comforting words that everyone knew had no merit.
"It seems you won't be able to move for awhile, I'm glad. Tomorrow will go off without a hitch then." Ray gripped m/n's shoulders, keeping the boy from collapsing under his own weight.
"Tomorrow?" Isabella felt a smug smile grow on her face.
"Yes, tomorrow. You can stay and celebrate Emma. A notice from headquarters arrived. Congratulations, M/n and Norman. A request for both of your shipments has arrived." M/n felt his heart stop. This time, Ray didn't attempt to hold the boy up, grappling with the new information himself, so m/n fell. He fell and he slept, escaping from the cruel truth that tomorrow would be his last.
Omake 1 (Norman appreciation)
"...do a jigsaw puzzle with me." Norman raised a brow as m/n plopped down a 1000 piece puzzle at his table. The h/c boy didn't bother to wait for a response and he dumped all the pieces out.
"What happened to 'Good morning'?' Norman teased as he started to find all the edge pieces. M/n hummed and tried to force two pieces together. "...good morning, do a jigsaw puzzle with me." Norman gently placed his hands over m/n's, and moved them so one of the pieces held fit nicely with another. The h/c boy beamed up at "his" success. Norman's hands tightened around the other's, leaning in so his head rested onto of m/n's.
The two continued the puzzle until breakfast.
Omake 2
"...ooo~ This one says it has two bedroom and a bathroom!" M/n leaned against the couch as his lover washed dishes in the cruddy kitchen sink. The two lived in an apartment they rented in college that unfortunately only had one bedroom. They bonded over the course of their college years. After Norman finally got his masters, they decided to buy a place together. Norman hummed and and glanced at the raised phone. "Check if there were a history of bugs."
The h/c boy swung his legs back and forth and he scrolled through the listed information. "...ugh, yep. History of bedbugs," M/n groaned out. "it feels like everyone heard we needed a house and bought everything affordable!" Norman chuckled as he dried his hands and walked over to place a soft kiss on m/n's forehead.
"I'm sure we'll find something. It's not like we need two bedrooms~" Norman grinned out as he peppered the boy's face in kisses. M/n laughed as he playfully hit the other, "...stop you! I wonder what the others would say if they found out you're not all books and studying."
Norman smiled and buried his face in h/c hair, "I wonder what the others would say if they found out you're not all naps and eating." M/n smiled and fiddled with the ring on his finger.
"...but you like me like that!" The blue-eyes meet e/c ones, a soft blush forming on both their faces.
"But I like you like that." M/n huffed and covered his face with his hands.

"I think I'm falling in love all over again."
DONE!!! I'm sorry it took so long. I tried my best, but i really want to rewrite this novel. I feel like it sticks way to close to the anime without adding anything to it. I do however have an idea for another book that i probably will write and drop just as I did this one. Happy belated holidays!
