My arms trembled, but Gilbert and my cousin grabbed a hand, calming me down. Cousin stating, "You'll be alright, I'll make sure for it. I'll make sure nothing happens to you."

"Me too, you got a future with your wit and a cute face. Not gonna let anything happen to ya."

What. Wait... does he have a crush... on me?

Matt stated, "I got the first floor, get to the stairs, I only have five minutes."

Cousin didn't wait, running, then stumbled, as though she hadn't moved around in a long time. Gilbert help her along and we got towards the door stating stairs. I asked, "Are the stairs safe?"

"Now!"

We opened the door and got out of the floor. In four minutes. Gilbert stated, "You are NOT in good shape for a heist, miss." He laughed.

"Gil, I was on house arrest for four months. Shut your mouth."

He shrugged and helped her up the stairs with his light behavior and joking persona on high. Suddenly a lot about Gilbert was clicking in my mind about him. He was scared, and covered it up with being the class clown, he was doing it now.

He was one of those idiot kids that bullied their crush. I gritted my teeth, he was cute too, but what an asshole still...

"Are you there?" Matt asked.

"I stated, we're about a fourth's there, why?"

"I can't cover much by now. He's on high alert. And I may have slipped up..."

Cousin growled, "What... do you mean... by that?"

"He didn't think you'd come here, trying to give the reins over to me, I gave him the idea..."

"Are you shitting me?" She whispered. As though yelling wasn't scary enough. Gilbert tensed up.

"Okay, just gonna carry you," He handed her his gun and asked, "Know how to use that?"

"Yeah."

"Oh boy, good." He stated, shifting her weight on his back, "Don't make any crazy moves."

"Why-ak!" She cried as he started using his athletic abilities he got through school lead him up the stairs.

"I'm not letting your lack in basics get in the way of my brother's justice."

I did not expect him to be so gong-ho about his brother. He must have been someone special to him. He did have a hard time showing his emotions, as I tracked him to keep myself from getting attacked, or surprised. Maybe he was better with his brother? Maybe his brother's personality rubbed off on him, if he was a police officer like the objects on Gilbert suggests... Why am I thinking so much about this? Am I distracting myself so I don't think about the horrible situation I'm in?

"I'm not longer in there!" Matt cried.

Cousin pulled up her wrist, "Covered! We got enough time to get into the floor itself, but after that, it'll be Gilbert's job for the most part."

I nodded. I then picked up my run and got up towards the door. Motioning our movement until they reached me. Cousin got onto her own feet. She then handed the gun back towards Gilbert. She whispered something to Gilbert, and he nodded, then they motioned towards me and I threw the door open. The alarms went off.

We went running, Gilbert jogging behind my cousin with his gun held up like a police officer would looking apart the perimeters. I run in front to make sure the place was safe. The microphone at the top of the hallways cheered, "I'm impressed babe! Getting into the building with no issue, getting a gun in here, I'm hurt you want to do this!"

"Fuck off!" She yelled, rage rushing into her veins, "Take your coding up your ass!"

He laughed, "Oh! I missed your energy! We needed this! I'm so glad your cousin came in! They've created quite a stir! Haven't they!"

Gilbert stated, "Keep going!"

"Ah! The brother of the police officer keeping you away from me! So sad you brought up a person that was close to a man trying to take you away from me!"

Gilbert's face turned sour, stern, it was terrifying to look at, so I didn't keep my eyes on him. I turned towards the room that Alfred was in. Cousin yelled, "I'm the only one going in!"

Alfred cheered, "Good! It would be awkward of someone else touched my body!"

She turned to Gilbert, "Protect them."

He nodded, then turned towards the door opening, and robot looking creatures came out. He shot were the hearts would be and they went down. How much did she tell Gilbert?

The shiny silver and plastic look showing the inside wires moving normally excited me, but I felt as though I was in a horror sci-fi fiction. I wished to do something. I turned to Matthew, whispering to him. "Is there anything you can do? Matthew?" I tried to contact him. Nothing, texting, calling him. He wasn't responding at all. My anxiety rushing in. I turned to see wires coming out of the ceiling over my cousin. I rushed over and wrapped up one of them, unzipping my jacket to showcase my rushed project I started working on earlier when I got into her apartment. I snapped the object onto the wires. Electricity spiked through the room, and I pulled my cousin away from the danger. She scoffed, "Of course, you would do something like that."

Gilbert turned over, "They went down, what happened?"

I grinned, "I made a thing." I turned back over, no turning back, and got on my feet to go in. Gilbert stopped my arm.

"No chance in hell. Tell me what to do."

"You gotta slap the wires up with this." I handed him the item that would protect him from the burst of energy in the room.

He went in and put it up, which took a moment. Then I turned towards the door, my eyes widened in horror.

"WHY?" Alfred cried out.

"I'M SORRY!" I cried back, "(Y/N) WANTED THIS! I-I HAVE TO LISTEN TO HER!?"

"HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THAT HUMANS DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING!? HAVEN'T YOU SEEN PEOPLE ONLINE? THROUGH CAMERAS? WHAT HORRORS THEY COVER UP, OR SHOWCASE? YOU DON'T-"He started coughing up, "You... don't have to listen to her to have her. I worked on this to create a better world for them! They ruin each other! And I created you to help her from her family! From her school! All those people after her! Because I love my girl and want her family to be happy because that'll make HER happy! Dude... I thought you understood that... I trusted you..."

Should I start up my project I started? Should I take down Alfred myself? Or should I work with him? I mean, I want (Y/n) safe and happy, and they're not! I take a mental deep breathe, deciding what I should do.
