Senior year... finally I'm done! No more paper airplanes thrown at me, no more shoulder bumps and most of all, no more weird looks by girls with lashes bigger then my future! And what do we get as a reward, a piece of paper and a private night at the fair...
At least Ian and Erin like the rides...
"You ready?" Erin asked me. "Ofcourse not!" I said to my best friend. Ian chuckled. "Your fear is from a sense of having no control, Tate. You'll be fine." He ruffled my hair and I hit his arm"If you say so, asshole." I chuckled.
Erin put her arms around our necks and we walked to my kryptonite... the roller coaster. God I hate roller coasters and Ian and Erin know that. Somehow, they both thought it was a good idea to help me get over my fear today, so here we are.
We, and a couple of other classmates walked through the turntables of Devils Flight. Ian turned to me with a devilish smirk on his face,"No going back now."
"Ian stop it, you've already freaked her out enough as it is." Erin scowled at the raven haired boy who just chuckled.
I'm so killing him after this.
Erin put her arm over my shoulder and leaned her head against my own, "Don't mind him. He's just having his own little fun, scaring the crap outta you. He did the same with me when we were in line for the High Dive so don't worry. And besides, a roller coaster is just elemental physics, a conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy."
"Thanks Erin..." I smiled. Erin gave me a little squize before letting go. A guy infront of us suddenly turned around, "It'll be over before you know it." Kevin spoke. Him and I talked before in school, but we were never close friends. I knodded at Kevin and he turned back to his girlfriend, Carrie and his friends, Jason and Wendy.
Ian put an arm around me. "Want me to hold your hand?"
"In your dreams, McKinley." I scoffed.
Ian chuckled while we walked over to gate 6, but Frankie jumped in before us. Probably to be a perv with his camera, because Ashley and Ashlyn were getting in the kart infront of Frankie. "Let's just sit in the back. It's faster anyways." Ian suggested and we walked to the last kart. Ian got in first and I sat on the left. Erin sat behind Ian and I.
Wendy quickly walked up to me. "Hey Tatum, because you're in the back, could you maybe take pictures from inside the rollercoaster for the yearbook?" She asked me.
"Yea ofcourse!" I took her camera. "Don't lose it." She smiled, walking back to her kart. The bars lowerd and my anxiety started to kick in. Ian noticed this and he tapped me on my shoulder, "Hey, you okay?"
"Yea... I'll be fine." I smiled at him.
I took a picture once Wendy was in her kart but a worker waved his hand through the shot. "Can't you read?" He pointed at a sign that said, "No lose objects are allowed."
Ian took the camera. "Is it OK if i just put it in my pocket?"
The guy though for 2 seconds. "Yea OK."
"Cool." Ian knodded, putting the camera in the chest pocket of his jacket.
"Hey guys!" Erin shouted to get out attention. Ian and I turned out head back to look at her, "We go down, we go down together!"
"Haha very funny, Erin." I mocked with a smile as we turned back around. Ian and I gave eachother an amused glance and the roller coaster started.
As we went up the lifthill I finally gave in and grabbed Ians hans. He was about to say something cocky before I cut him off, "Don't you think about it."
