'10 mins Gee! Are you excited?' he says excitedly

Yeah I was excited. Excited for tomorrow. To meet my parents and celebrate my birthday with them. But right now, I was talking to Dream, who had become a good friend of mine over the past year and a half. We also talked to BBH , or, full form BadBoyHalo. He's technically the reason Dream and I even met. After all, it was his server that we bonded on the most.

I've never really had friends who lasted long, or who connected to me I guess? So this was definitely new. It had only been a year, but I felt kind of at home with them. Not fully at home but comfortable.

Eek. That sounds really cheesy.

Five minutes...
Three minutes...
One minute...

'Happy Birthday George!'

It's midnight! My birthday! Yes! 

I start smiling as I hear Dream wishing me.

I see my phone light up as a notification from Discord comes.

It's BadBoyHalo wishing me. We're pretty good friends, though he couldn't join our call since he was pretty busy because his mom was going to visit the next day, or the current day I guess. I felt bad for him because he'd told us how his mom was.

Always critiquing every little detail about him, insulting their family and overall just not the nicest person or mother. His parents got divorced 2 years ago and he chose to live with his father.

Though it's not my business to talk about that.

Anyways, I was having fun on call with Dream, it was my birthday, I was going to visit my parents tomorrow evening... I was happy

Until...

'Big bro!' I heard the voice of a little girl coming from Dreams side.

'Whos that?' I asked.

'Oh this is my sister. El, say hi to George.' he laughed

'Hi George..' she seemed a bit nervous.

I guess Dream noticed that too, because he asked 'What happened?'.

'Theres a fire in the house...' she said nervously.

I don't know what I expected, but definitely not this.

'What!? In the kitchen??' he asked with sudden surprise.

I assume she nodded because he said, 'Ok, do the others know? Does mom know?' while trying not to panic.

'Mommy's in the hospital'

I couldn't see him or have any way of knowing what happened to him, but he was shook.

'WHAT? WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!?' He shouted.

I heard tears being held back from his sister.

'Ok, ok leave the house, got it? I'll handle the fire, but you, go outside and wait for me to pick you up, okay?' he told her.

'Hey George, I'm sorry about this, but I gotta go. I'll be back.' he told me.

'Its fine, go stop the fire!' I urged him.
