It's September 2012 — and Emilia is shipped off to her third foster home in a year, the Watsons, a nice white family who like to spend far too much time together for it to be normal.
But it's fine, totally and completely fine, as long as she can find her way back to Schiffman Theatre off of Kips Bay, a hollowed out building now home to local independent wrestlers and those still in training.
Or it should be fine until it's her turn to clean up after hours and a stranger crashes through the ceiling. Even worse, it's her dorky dumbass of a new neighbor.
