I sat on the sofa with Mickey right beside me, watching some move about... space monkeys. Thirty minutes had passed and the popcorn was all gone as well as his candy stash. Donnie had removed the gauze from my head after checking it but didnt say a word when I asked why it there in the first place. I brought my drink up to my lips and lightly sipped on the carbonated liquid as Mickey sat beside me with his arm over the back of the couch. Donnie sat on the other side, not as close as Mikey, but close enough that I can feel his every movement through the seat cushions. Raphael sat as far as possible from me But kept me in his eyes sight as he was 'reading' a comic book. As if I'm stupid enough to think he wasn't actually just watching me. I brought the cup back down to rest on my leg as one of the space monkeys got caught in a situation were his air tube ripped as he was exploring outside the ship. Too tell you the truth, I wasnt really watching the movie, I was servaing the room and counting how many doors there were.
So far I only counted about four, the one that leads to the hallway, one that Mikey showed me was the kitchen, the other doorway was covered by a thin paper door, and the last was a stair way. If I want to escape this place the last one is most likely the way to go but I could be wrong. My thoughts were interrupted by footsteps just entering the room. Glancing over my shoulder, my eyes could hardly make out the figure at first but soon I picked up on the red hair, and yellow shirt.
"April?" I called out softly and the person froze.
"Paris?" She called back and I instantly jumped up from my seat. My cup fell from my hand, but I didnt care as I climed over the couch quickly. When my feet touched the floor, the air in my lungs rushed out as a body slammed into my own, pulling me into a hug. I returned the hug as I felt soft tears on my shoulder. I rubbed her back slightly confused as her small frame shook with evey deep breath she took. We stayed like that for sometime as she cried on me before she pulled away to look at me. Donnie turned on the lights as Mikey went off somewhere, and Raphael came into view.
"I'm so happy that your okay!" April said as her hold tightened. I did nothing but rub her back in hopes of calming her down.
"Of course I'm okay, why wouldn't I be?" I said, instantly going into character. She looked at me for a moment before taking my chin in her small hands and looking at my check.
"What happened?"
"Nothing important," I responded as I gently pushed her hand away, "but you know what is important? Telling me where I am and why I'm here. I am in a room filled with green people." April lightly smiled as she glanced at the boys around us.
"I think that it would be best if Master Splinter explain that too her." Donnie said as he gave a nervous chuckle.
"Explain what exactly?" I question and they all looked at each other before me.
"You'll find out when he explains it." Raphael said as he crossed his arms. I glared at him for a moment before focusing on April. I cleaned away her tears before pulling her into another hug. She laughed softly as she hugged me, rocking us both from side to side, and I started laughing too. April pulled back and took my hands in her before leading me back to the couch. We sat down as she turned to face me with a friendly yet stern look.
"How do you feel?" She asked as I crossed one leg over the other.
"I feel fine, April. Why are you so concerned about my health?"
"You don't remember what happened?" She questioned as she frowned at me.
"Remember what?" I asked and she turned to Donnie.
"Should we be concerned about this?" Donnie thought it over before shaking his head no.
"Paris was hit rather hard on the head that day, so I suspected that after she passed out there would be some memory loss. Its common for a person who was out as long as she not to remember a few things for a couple days." He replied as he moved closer to us and pointed to the back of my head. I stood up and turned to him shocked.
