I impatiently shivered as stood in front of a frosted bush. Of course, it's the fucking middle of winter and where am i? Outside in the fucking cold. The wind wasn't the only thing sending chills down my spine.
"I.. I know that you.. You're there.." I stammered. A mocking laugh echoed around me. A minute passed and nothing happened. "Just c..come out.." My words were almost a whisper. Another laugh was followed by movement in the bushes. I waited for the monster to reveal itself. What? In front of me stood a young girl, she couldn't have been more than eight. Her raven black hair drooped down the sides of her face. Her face was pale and her lips almost black. In her hand she held a red balloon, that floated just above her head. As i frowned at her, she simply turned her head to the side and blankly stared back, as if she was looking right through me.
Laughing erupted from within me. "You really think that's fooling anybody?" I said as i wiped a fake tear from my eye.
"Oh, i do try," she giggled innocently. The girl in front of me then began to morph. Black smoke began to surround her. Through the smoke i could only just see her arms and legs stretching and her back arching forward. As the smoke cleared, where the girl once was, a beast now stood.
Its skin was black and filthy with the occasional wart growing on its slanky limbs that hung off its body. It had a hunched back and a spine that stuck out like it hadn't eaten in weeks. The creature stunk of wet mould. I avoided its eyes. I knew if our eyes locked it would have complete control over me.
"How i adore that disguise," it said as it released the red balloon and watched it float away. He turned to me. "I see you aren't as frail as you were pretending to be a moment ago. What happened to that?" It spoke in a rasp voice as it grinned.
"It's was an act to lure you out, and well, it seemed to work." I replied, keeping my eyes on the ground.
"Sweety, i don't think you understand," its grin widened, revealing rows of razor sharp teeth. "Whether you were weak or not i still would have come out. You see, I'm quite hungry." The creature walked up to me and put its boney hand on my cheek. I felt its long musky nails scrap across my skin. It moved his head in close to my neck and breathed in. "Human flesh is so soft," it murmured to itself. He then preceded to lick my cheek. "Not to mention, delishious." I tried pulling my head away, but its grip on my face tightened. Oh great, not only is it a God of Death, but its a God of Rape too. "God of Death, is that what people call me? Huh, i like it." The creature smiled, pleased with itself. It can read my thoughts?
"Bit of an overstatement, if you ask me," i said, eyeing its body up and down.
"Oh, don't be so rude. Tut tut. Don't make me punish you," it teased, winking at me.
"Don't make me throw up!"
"I may forgive, if you would just look into my eyes."
I concentrated hard on the floor, "you really think I'm falling for that?"
"Awh, but sweety, its rude not to look into people's eyes when they're talking to you." Its words were laced with sugar, but even still, forceful. Without control of myself, my eyes rose upward to meet its. Its eyes were white but fogged over. They looked like the eyes of road kill after it had been left to decay for weeks. As my eyes remain focused on the creatures, i noticed them change. A hint of bronze showed through the musky white fog."You've been trained!" It screamed as it threw me to the ground. Trained? How could someone be trained to resist a Creaturaes' gaze? The creature was no longer grinning. The smile was now spread across my face.
"God of Death, hey?" I laughed. "Because you did a great job and doing the one thing you're known for."
"Well, sweety, if i cant control you to do what I want, which we both know would have been a lot of fun for me," another wink. "I guess ill just devour you!" It licked his lips and lunged towards me. Immediately i pulled out my sword and it landed right on top of it, impaling it into its chest. Instant death. Black shards shattered everywhere, as if a mirror were shattered."Well that was easy," i said getting up and putting my sword back in its sheath. I heard a muffled laugh behind me.
"Well of course it bloody was." I turned around to see a figure leaning against a near by tree.
"And you would be?" I asked, hand resting on my sword handle incase a sudden attack.
"The question is who are you?" He said as he pushed off the tree. "And how did you learn to resist the eyes of that bloody demon?"
